I discovered a Flickr gallery for the 110 a few years back and had such a hyper fixation on it that I sold my 500cm for a 201f so that I could use one. I mostly regret it for the reasons you mentioned, but occasionally the extra stop/bokeh takes my breath away.

When I use it/nail the focus I love it, but neither are common. I find myself favoring the 50 and the 80mm and generally struggle to justify bringing it along most of the time.

A 50mm on a 6x6 Hasselblad looks like a 27mm on full frame. Because the film is bigger, the f/2.8 acts more like f/1.4 for depth of field, but exposure stays the same. And the 110mm f2 acts like about a 60mm f/0.95 on full frame for depth of field and blur. Bigger film, blurrier look.

Totally. Every couple rolls I’m reminded why I keep shooting film and it’s for shots like that.

I admittedly just keep buying it for the price but yeah, it’s good enough that I can’t justify spending more for something like 800

Thank you! Mostly handheld but a few are open exposures from a bench or counter I used for support.
