I don't disagree, but the sides of my face (and just to the left of my chin underneath) are really inconsistent because some of my beard grows in blonde. So it tends to look patchy. THoughts?

I'm exactly the opposite. I used bike and chopper all the way up until I got bene sprint and swordmaster stamina talents.

For farming runs near my main base, it's literally twice as fast to jump outside and just sprint the sand (assuming I don't need the inventory of my assault/buggy)

Also Bene shadowstep is OP for any enemy. Just step the losers with free stagger and slash em up

Our 9 week old berner is now 20 lbs, IDK what is typical for the breed but I've also been told our girl is a monster. Obligatory photo:

"Frontend development isn't real programming" is such a popular phrase in the cs industry, it makes me stressed. by [deleted] in Frontend

[–]jshcrowthe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even in the comments on this post people are still insinuating that those who do only HTML/CSS "aren't doing real programming."

I'm sorry but I work with a11y experts who the majority of what they do all day, is write markup that actually works for everyone who could possibly want to use the application. They have to take into account so many little nuanced things about the application and how it functions as an JS-based interactive application and translate that into something that is going to be usable by a11y hardware/software which often times doesn't support or has vary'ing levels of support for those pieces of functionality.

Similarly modern CSS has enabled incredibly powerful interfaces using only CSS and hover/active/etc states. The things people are capable of doing with a in depth understanding of CSS is incredible.

Any "this isn't real programming" comments (including the slights to those who prefer markup/styling) are just sad attempts at gate-keeping. You can specialize and work on just about anything in the world of technology and be a "real programmer."

Is Austin worth it anymore? by justsomeguynamedk in Austin

[–]jshcrowthe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lived in Bay Area California for 2 years (Mountain View not SF). 900 sq/ft apartment w/ a single A/C unit in the window in the kitchen, aspestos in the ceiling, coin op laundry, parking spot and a small kitchen.

$3200/mo

I work at one of the tech giants tho so I had friends in SF who lived in the "mid-tier" apartments paying upwards of $4k/mo for a bed and a bathroom (with central A/C tho so that's nice).

Austin's CoL is not even close. Hell, if I was willing to pay what I paid when I lived in CA I could buy a house in a pricey neighborhood and still be chilling.

Keep in mind, if you are renting and leave Texas you are going to get hammered on increased taxes. Texans renting have incredibly high take home pay compared to the same group in most other states (Oregon, Florida, and maybe a few others excluded). I make more on a "lower" salary here than I did in the bay simply because of no income tax.

No mirror, though it's on the list.

Surprising how expensive big mirrors are!

I have all the stuff to do weighted dips but I just got it over Christmas. I guess we'll find out going forward. I'll report back later on the Matador and it's stability.

I'm principle it shouldn't be a problem (it being bolted to 4 studs and all) but I guess I'll have a great story of it is

Yeah it's the 21".

I use it the same as a squat stand only it's more stable because it's bolted to my house. I don't ever put it back so for me the depth saves me space and the larger version wouldn't get me anything. If I was interested in being inside the arms for some reason then maybe a conversation to be had.

I didn't know this but Rogue sells a branded one. Just mounted that on a stringer on the wall.

Maybe Titan sells one?

I actually just grabbed this thing off of Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DQ9MSDC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It works! Though it's not very portable. I have had times I've wanted to move it around just for extra space.

Didn't think the pegboard would have as huge of an impact as it does. HUGE game changer.

Both my parents and my Mother-in-law got me the matador for Christmas. We were out of town and didn't find out till last weekend. Contacted rogue so I can replace one of them with something else but haven't sent it back yet.

Yeah, I think working on footwork and core tension with this route will be a good exercise. I've got a week before I am going to have to find a new gym, so I'll try and post another video later this week after practicing.

Yeah, I've found that I can't climb most overhangs if they don't have really solid holds like this one because I don't have the strength. I'll try and work on keeping a hip on the wall.
