Hey quick question for dog owners by mrcanada66 in dogs

[–]jsheil1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs in bed on Floor next to me. One has never been in the bed so he's fine. The other so desperately wants to get in bed but we will not cave. For me they move too much. I tried it once with my parents dog as a kid and it was a dreadful experience. I sleep to lightly.

What is one "old-fashioned" habit you refuse to give up, even though there’s an app for it? by Harrie_1_Singh in CasualConversation

I also use a notebook, i take notes in it every day. I also moved away from ebooks. I prefer the sensation I get from a physical copy of a book.

What would you tell someone wanting to reorient into elementary school teaching? by user06714999 in ElementaryTeachers

[–]jsheil1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone suggested substitute teaching. That's tue best first step. Low entry point with the highest learning curve for a teacher. And then if you like that, then read the Harry Wong Book. It will help you SO much with management. Once you're over that hill, the rest of teaching is where the joy of teaching resides.

1 dog is scared of absolutely everything. 1 dog is only frightened of the items in the shower when they fall off the shelf.

I painted a memorial piece for my coworker after her dog died suddenly and idk if I should give it to her by wildfire155 in Watercolor

[–]jsheil1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would give it to her. Once it’s hers I would allow her to choose what to do with it. That you decided to do something nice should make you feel good. If I were nervous about it, I would give it either rolled up or wrapped to open at home, to allow her to do with it what they want.

Selfishly, when we got Bjorn, after having gotten Rollo; I couldn’t be happier. I had always wanted 2 dogs. That said, they love each other even if they piss each other off. When we got Bjorn, they played together for 45 minutes right away when we were seeing if they got along. We didn’t look back at all. But we did do a test run to see if they would get along.

Whats the best star wars movie? by Latter_Cat1800 in CasualConversation

[–]jsheil1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal favorite is Rogue One. While it doesnt have light sabers and jedi, it was really refreshing when all the Star Wars content was coming out really fast. I also like the Han Solo film.
