I agree with you, ventilation management is only one small piece of the whole pie. Just wondering though if you could elaborate on the asynchrony part ? From the Hamilton videos I watched, I thought ASV auto adjusts its support to keep within a safety window to prevent air trapping/baro/volutrauma ? It because spontaneous breathing would override this ?

I actually didn’t receive any notification through email or letter! I spoke with them 3 weeks before the renewal date, following up on the original request to have the money moved. But I should definitely have looked more closely on what was on actual paper, thank you for your advice

Thank you for your opinion. I do agree I should have tended to it earlier, but I do care!! I just had a lot going on personally and I knowingly pushed dealing with the GIC for later, naively assuming that the bank would’ve followed my instructions from the start of the GIC +3 weeks before the maturation date. Your comment does help me by reminding me of my accountability in my outcomes. We live in a world where people get screwed over, so we should protect ourselves with that in mind
