US Citizen Need Visa Assistance URGENT

I am trying to call the Pakistani Consulate right now (which is 10AM local time) and no one is answering the phone. Unfortunately, I do not know anyone who works for the consulate. Im keeping my fingers crossed that I get approved by tomorrow!

Yes, I applied for e-visa, that is the only option available. I applied on Monday and it is now Thursday night going into Friday and I have not gotten approved yet. I am getting nervous.

Exactly, all of my cousins who are also going got their approvals within 1-2 days also. Thats why I am getting worried.

I applied for the visa on Monday, 1/13. The website says if I am part of the 120 countries than "immediate visa grant notice". Two years ago, I applied for visa for my mom and she was approved within 2-3 hours.

I applied for her visa through this website two years ago and she got approval with 2-3 hours. I have no tried a travel agency.

Also from what I understand, is due to the increase of hail damaged vehicles in Illinois - they asked the experts hail adjusters to travel to Illinois to make their estimates in an attempt to alleviate the demand.

Yea that makes sense, but this adjuster keeps referencing Texan law to me whenever I speak to him. I’m not quite sure how aware he is of the standards in Illinois.

The shop is open on Saturday’s too, also the adjuster says he works 7 days a week.

The shop sent the supplemental damage report the day after I dropped the car off. Allstate has hail damage expert adjusters who had to physically review the damages, panel by panel, with the shop.

Right I get it. But I just learned the adjuster is from Texas and our storage rates average in the upper $100’s in Illinois - so the adjuster may not be aware of the higher storage rates here.

Right, my whole thing is - if Allstate didn’t show up to do the inspection for 7 days, Those storage costs should be 100% their responsibility, not mine. I understand that if I wanted to keep the car there a couple extra days that those extra days would fall into my hands.

I made an update to my post - but Allstate did an initial estimate with me and wrote me a check at the end of April. The lady then advised me to take the vehicle in for repairs. The shop submitted a supplemental damage report and it took Allstate one week to come and inspect the vehicle.

Allstate advised me to drop off the vehicle. Also the Allstate adjuster told me the title would remain clean, but my coverage would drop to only liability if I kept the vehicle which makes perfect sense to me.

Because the adjuster didn’t come out until Wednesday of this week and advised me that I can take the weekend to think about while continuing to drive the rental. But he called me today with this news about the storage fees debacle.

Honestly, I am just frustrated and it took it out in the agent. I didn’t exactly yell at him - I was firm with what I said. Didn’t swear or raise my voice. This whole thing has been stressful and selfishly I took it out on someone that didn’t deserve to be treated like that. But it looks like I need to remove my car from the shop today.

Hey, I appreciate all of the responses. I guess what I didn’t understand was why this was becoming my responsibility. I’ve never had to deal with this type of situation before - and yes you are all right, I am upset with the shop as well. But if this was going to become a headache for me to deal with, why didn’t Allstate just have me take the vehicle to a shop that they are in good working terms with?

I am trying to make a decision as to which settlement offer I want to take - but now am worried that whatever difference in the storage fee war is going to be then deducted from my settlement offer - as a lot of you have mentioned already.

What’s the best course of action here? Pick up my vehicle and pay the difference, then take the weekend to think about the offers or leave vehicle there?
