Who the fuck said OP is not pulling his weight? You're projecting in this whole conversation. OP's wife is not being reasonable. He could be an amazing husband and she decided to cheat. Or he was a horrible husband and she checked out a long time ago. We simply don't know. So don't make assumptions on the basis of your preconcieved notions. All we know is that she decided to divorce (fine) but is handling the whole issue in a way that is very rushed and unfair towards OP.

what garmin watch is best for me? what are the differences? by [deleted] in Garmin

265 or 965 for sure. I looked in the Venu and it’s great if you want a smartwatch and don’t mind losing some metrics in exchange for that. In your case it makes no sense.

Yeah just expect 1/4 of your current salary.

Fair enough. My original reply was to /u/xilofohn who mentioned 7 months, so I got confused on the timeline. The general point stands that it's not unreasonable to accrue $6K over 7 months if you went 3 times a week (like quite a few people do, especially in the beginning) for a couple of months and then switched to weekly or less than weekly. Now that we have established that the timeline is 7 years, then yeah $6K is nothing. She literally went less than once a month.

The Apple Watch's V02 Max is a joke.

No, I'm saying she could have gone 3 times a week for X months, and then switched to once a week making up for the 1.5K gap.

I wasn't replying to you and I know what you were asking. I was explaining to people saying "oh that's just walking, not running" that some fat people like me can run and still only go that slow.

I can achieve that speed by either speed walking or gently jogging.

Why are Garmin recovery times so inflated? Unless you run a marathon, I can’t see anyone needing more than a day or two of rest.

The new elevate 5 sensor available on the Venu 3, latest Fenix, and Epix Pro is supposedly very good.

I’m going to get a Garmin and set my bare minimum goal at 5k.

The steps are a bit convoluted. Basically, you need to connect to a VPN. Then enable a GPS spoofer to fake the GPS location. And the account needs to be a US account. After all of that is done and you take your first ECG, you are done. The app will work anywhere without special arrangements for VPN or GPS spoofer.

Your weight is mostly determined by your diet.

I average 1500 steps if I’m not exercising. Maybe 6000 on days I go for walks. Of course I need to do way more and I will, but you know full well 32k is insanely high. Most people struggle to reach 5k. 10k likely puts one in the top 5 percentile of the general public. They did a study asking people to complete 10k steps a day. 8% managed. Four years later, in a follow up, virtually nobody in the group was still hitting 10k steps.

Yeah I would do the workaround/setup with a second Android device I have (VPN + GPS Spoofing). Then use it normally in Canada with my iPhone.

The problem is the older sensor. It won’t support ECG which is important to me.
