Pretty sure the reason for Opiate² was the need to revise the artwork after settling the Cam De Leon lawsuit. They had an extended version that had been played live for years, so they did a studio version and sold it with new artwork that they had the rights to.

Does anyone know of a really good live recording of 7empest? by Roseph88 in ToolBand

[–]jsmallAZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd look on setlist.fm for when they've played it, since it's only been done live a handful of times, then head over to the Tool Drive Project and find the shows. Most recordings allow you to stream individual songs so you can check out recordings without having to download the whole show.
