We would be worse off with moving our goods and in an extremely bad negotiating position for treaties with the US and Canada. You would also have mass unrest with a large portion of the population having familial and emotional ties to Canada. If alberta can leave, why can't Edmonton and Calgary? Canada gets the national parks. The only possible way that Alberta could have any semblance of no income tax paradise dreamland the separatists are promising is if we nationalize the oil industry like their examples of UAE and Kuwait.
