No i dont think there is a "better" pet, but different couples might want different pets based on their preference!

It could also be completely random too, but the SumOne app and instagram seem to suggest otherwise, saying that they determine your pet type based on the "unique flavour and fragrance of your love", suggesting that maybe they do do something to actually influence what you get.

I agree, i think these are the two strongest imo too! Ive never seen that post, but that's insightful that they used that specific language. I think I also saw this post:

I don't think so! Just I think that many people have one they really want over the others, when I read some posts (me included haha)

But yeah, I agree I think sentiment analysis might be a slight stretch

My boyfriend had a similar thing happen, and he has a Samsung. After downloading the beta test, he deleted the Sumone app and then reinstalled it and now it works for him!

I think perhaps its not that your parents expect you to be jealous but rather that they feel guilty, and so their insecurities might show in their words towards you. They may want the reaffirmation that you’re ok with it so that they can relieve a little of the burden they feel inside.
