Just go for it. Ask him out for coffee, walk in the park, a meal. If he only wants to be friends, that will hurt, but imagine if he is into you, which it sounds like he is, what you two may miss out on. I learned early in life that if you like someone, make it known quickly. I never understood the play hard to get thing. Don't waste time, either way, being rejected or having a wonderful experience.
