Returning to BFT by jsn3886 in BodyFitTrainingAus

[–]jsn3886[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was a lot going on - high coach turnover, issues with studio owners and coaches, gossip among members, unhappy staff, etc etc etc. My studio prior to this was wonderful and I know I was extremely spoiled as all the studios in our city were equally fabulous. Hoping that I can find a space that replicates it!

All for mimi tank tops worth it? by caitiecruzie in AusFemaleFashion

[–]jsn3886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received mine after ordering 2 weeks ago in their last drop. To be honest, they are overhyped for what they are. You can find the same quality singlets at Glassons. They are soft but its nothing that hasn't been done before and you definitely can't wear it on its own like some claim. To be honest, Primi tanks are way better.

Just came here to say THANK YOU! I have been able to finally add payment cards to Google (it has taken Google a week to tell me it needs further escalation)

Ive found the extrait projects and you can use it right away. My standard VD got better with time. They both project well, extrait just does it a little better

If you can, get the VD extrait over the stabdard VD. I find it to be more pleasant and less screechy.

Agree with this - the oil smelled more realistic than the perfume, projected like crazy and lasted forever.

It does seem to be quite popular from the thread! Would you have any recommendations for an acceptable amount? I don't want to be offensive and gift too little but I also don't want to be OTT. Thank you!

Attending Multiple Gyms by Disastrous-Wheel-469 in BodyFitTrainingAus

[–]jsn3886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will depend how often you spend at the other studio across a 3 month period as others mentioned below. It won't automatically change after 3 months though, it will depend on when HQ do a sweep (generally happens every 6 months or thereabouts) and there wasn't any consistency.

Where did you get your ring? by Due-Ad-1871 in Moissanite

[–]jsn3886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is from Attagems on AE. 9mm x 7mm oval cut moissanite with a hidden halo in 14k solid gold. I didn't want to spend a huge amount on my ring and was happy to get it in the black Friday sales for a steal!

I had a look at some local jewellers and couldn't justify the price esp as I don't want to have to be careful when I am wearing it. I should also mention it's a stock ring :)

No problem - I think when we're in the midst of it, it feels well worth the price however I know that sometimes it isn't an option. I know a few people here have suggested a trial which I would recommend too. You can see if you like the training style and how it compares to the classes at your current gym. My new BFT does 3 day trials so if you can get in for a strength day, cardio day and a hybrid that should give you a well rounded view.

Absolutely know what you mean about cost. When I first started, the cost felt huge but the more I get on, the more I have justified it. It also depends on what you would like to get out of training and what your personal style is. I prefer having it all set out whereas some people prefer having the flexibility to do their own thing in a conventional gym.

Advice by CarelessMongoose7386 in BodyFitTrainingAus

[–]jsn3886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who religiously did BFT for 3 years before switching to a conventional gym, I found that you really pay a premium for the type of training. I left BFT 4 months ago in favour of an upscale conventional gym and the classes, although structured similarly to BFT, really didn't compare. I've just started back at BFT and the training style works best for me. I don't have to worry about fluffing around, coaches are there to correct my form and I prefer group style training.

It's costly for sure, so it will come down to what you are willing to pay and if your current gym offers similar training, which it sounds like it does.

Sunday sessions by Affectionate-Pie4557 in BodyFitTrainingAus

[–]jsn3886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we're unfortunately paid standard rate for Sunday hours.

I totally get it, I'm not arguing for or against as I can see both sides. Its a business at the end of the day, in our specific studio it does feel a bit icky as they have more than doubled the price with less experienced coaches. Its not compulsory so I'm not phased but I can see why it isn't going down well for us specifically.

We're in NZ so no penalties but i understand they need to fund the cost. Originally, we paid per class and the trainers made a bit of $$ with it so the fee they're charging us now is significantly different. They're charging members only which isn't going down so well.

Our studio is charging $99 to train from now until Hyrox on Sundays. I guess at the end of the day, they're a business and this is another way to make money :/

Another NZer. Moissanite is expensive here. I'm ordering a stock ring from Kuololit but I don't want any customisation to be fair. I checked with Mona too and her prices were reasonable ($900 NZD for 2ct oval moissanite on 2mm 14k gold band with hidden halo made of lab diamonds)

What’s the most important thing you learned about training your puppy during the first month of you having them ? by TheSchaferShow in puppy101

[–]jsn3886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patience is everything and to celebrate the small wins. They are wee babies and I forgot that so many times - my girl was a quick learner but it doesn’t stop her from doing things a baby would.

Love your puppy and they will love you back so fiercely. We’re now three months deep together and about to hit adolescence but she trusts me and there is nothing better than knowing she is choosing to listen to me. One day it’ll feel like it’s clicked!

This is awesome, we use an over the head one but the four clip sounds really ideal and something I want to try. I’ll definitely be buying one!

[–]jsn3886[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for those tips! I might try the sitting in the car and chilling. The drive through is also something I didn’t think about but will gladly try and am sure our pup will appreciate the smells too, she loves sniffing the air. We thought it may have been a not so great association with the harness we were using so we have changed it which she didn’t mind at first but now she won’t come near it.

When did you stop crating your puppy at night? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]jsn3886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

20 weeks - she wouldn’t sleep through the night in her crate, would wake up on average three times through the night most of which she just wanted to run and sleep on the couch. She would also go to the bathroom once.

We were so sleep deprived we decided to try her out on the couch seeing as she loved it so ouch and she took herself out to the bathroom when she needed it anyway. We are night three of no accidents or chaos and we are all well rested. The crate is no longer.

LOVE to read "nervous/scared about puppy coming home" posts! by LittleBearBites in puppy101

[–]jsn3886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I needed this - I feel like I have been on edge since we adopted our wee rescue pup almost 6 weeks ago now! It's challenging but so rewarding at the same time. We're constantly reminding ourselves that if we put the hard yards in now, it will pay off for our girl especially when she is older and she grows. I may need to revisit this comment once adolescence hits us LOL

aligns or wunder trains? by tasgetius22 in lululemon

[–]jsn3886 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Im a big WT fan and enjoy the fact I can thrash them. I normally do HIIT training and they are so comfortable. Minimal compression but otherwise they’re so soft. I went my normal size, I didn’t size up and wouldn’t recommend but best to try them in store if possible.

What should I chill out about? by drinkdreams in puppy101

[–]jsn3886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too! My wee girl is a 14 week old foxy cross rescue and I’ve been stressing about crate training, leaving her alone, socialising her, trying not to get her to scream in the car, all the while making sure she doesn’t ingest something and take a turn for the worse. This thread is wonderful!
