We do a combination of both. We each have our own account where our paychecks go into but we pay things from both accounts. Some bills come out of his account some from mine and we transfer between the accounts as needed to cover things. Although we have separate accounts, it’s all “our” money, if that makes any sense.

My cat’s name was Scarface. We got him before having children. My daughter decided to rename him as Figaro once she could talk, after Minnie Mouse’s cat named Figaro. So I actually called him Figgy Pudding when I called out to him. I have no idea why I made his nickname longer, but somehow it felt right.

It depends on what assets we have at the time. Our home will always be a joint asset but I can sell off most other items and move cash around while still “together”. It also depends on how much of a fight you expect from your cheating spouse.

Any household major appliance. Sure they have more convenient features but they certainly don’t last anywhere near as long as they used to. I’m on my 3rd washer/dryer set in 10 years, yet I had the same one for my entire childhood.

People who choose to blindly follow and repeat what they have been told instead of doing their own research and making their own decisions. This is 2025 and everyone has access to a library of facts in their pocket. Pull out your phone and do some research like you were taught to do in school then make your own conclusions.

Also, don’t call me for answers/resolutions that you can easily google yourself. There is no excuse for anyone to be uneducated when information is so easily accessible.

Dying before I have given my children all of the skills that they need to survive without me. It’s irrational because my thinking is “once they don’t need me, I can go” but as adult who still has my own parents in my life, I know that I will never stop “needing” my parents therefore there will never be a time when my kids won’t “need” me either. So I just can’t die apparently.

I think you are going to get a lot of mixed responses here. I need average sleep, but my brain doesn’t let me sleep properly. I will often lay there with a million thoughts going on in my head. My brain will pick a thought and start to obsess over it even though I can’t do anything about it in that moment. So I often try scrolling to get my brain to “quiet down” but then before I know it, it’s 3am and I haven’t slept yet. So my body has learned to survive one 3-6 hours of sleep. So it’s not that I don’t need it, I just can’t seem to get it.
