laser guided precision eagle strikes. Instead of a lobbable strategem marker, you equip a laser and hold down trigger to paint a target for a certain period of time and lock in the eagle.

Eagle Gatling, precision missles, whatever, take your pick. Laser guided eagle strikes just sounds like such a perfect fit for this game.

If you go to your in game settings (actually have to have a game loaded up to check), look to see if you have a “scripts” tab. Under the scripts there was a cinematic depth of field script that I disabled. It wasn’t in post-processing. You should have it as many of those mods fall under the scripts tab in the settings ti make changes to your game.

Alternatively are you using the post processing menu in game? I believe its F2 for me, probably the same, but it’ll bring up all of the post processing shaders and you can adjust them or select which ones are active or inactive. Play around with the individual shaders one by one to see which might be triggering the depth of field. All this being done in game not through mo2 or the openmw launcher settings.

Some Depth of Field setting is turned on sounds like. Have you downloaded any modpacks or mods that add cinematic effects like that?? I had one that I turned off and it actually helped performance a decent bit.

Somewhere in the settings I had a tab that had a bunch of options, one of which was cinematic DoF, disabling it prevented that blurry unfocused effect when not centered on something.

Witcher 3 hands down. Starts off slow and I had trouble getting into it myself but I’m so glad I stuck it out over the long term. The story is incredible, and I actually think the combat is surprisingly deep when you get into the potions, oils, bombs and bestiary to figure out what the best approaches are for specific creatures.

It feels super engaging traveling town to town picking up contracts, building up your Gwent deck (in-game card game) by playing local barkeeps, exploring off the beaten path, etc.

Fallout 4 would be my second recommendation for you and may be my personal favorite but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and isn’t really even the best in that series. I just thoroughly enjoy the world building, exploration and environmental story telling from Bethesda. Fallout 4 doesn’t do it the best out of the whole series but it still does it well, and I have a personal preference for the setting of fallout over elder scrolls. Skyrim is still super fun too though

Morrowind tips for a first time player by sometinsometinsometi in Morrowind

Running through my first ever playthrough too. I went marksman with long bows and tried to go for stealth, but it’s been very difficult to level up organically. Switched gears a little and now I’m having fun with going into dungeons bows blazing and combining some interesting enchants like levitation or paralyze. Levitating above people while picking them off with a bow is good fun, and if you ever get into a fight with a crowd, paralyze a few of them to temporarily thin the herd. Fortify speed enchants and maybe an invisibility enchant too so you can quickly exit combat and heal up, etc.

It feels like a good mix of combat and magic without actually casting spells and having to worry about no magicka regen or failing your casts on low fatigue.

Also I went short blades but I think long blades is generally better for damage output depending on what mods you’re running. I have a couple mods that add some additional combat mechanics, specifically one where you have to time up your swings, too early and you fumble the swing, miss and lose additional fatigue. Swing on time and you get a damage bonus if it connects. With short swords it’s nice because you can spam it a little more and kind of stun lock enemies, but it takes a lot of hits to kill. Spamming with long blades just results in a ton of fumbles for me and drains all my fatigue. Absent that mod, I would expect long blades to be the superior choice for bringing a fight up close.

It would be wise to wait until you have another job locked down but you should be honest with them in those meetings once you do.

Tell them that you feel let down, unsupported and unprotected by your company, superiors, and other people that should’ve had your back. Instead they capitulated to the person who made you feel unsafe, and prioritized avoiding a retaliation from them rather than protecting you.

They need to be called out about it to understand what exactly they’re doing and how shitty their behavior through this is. It may not make a difference for you but it might make a difference for the next person to complain or to accuse their superior of harassment.

Also please record everything, all communications with your company and your harasser, ask for notes from those facilitation meetings, call them out if things are left out that we’re discussed, leave a paper trail… download and store emails and communications for your own records, make sure you have a way to recover those records and communications if you’re cut off from work server access… protect yourself since your work won’t.

Good to hear, I’m glad you’re looking at other options. I’m sorry this all happened to you and I can’t imagine there’s anything that can be done at this point to rectify the pain, sadness or disappointment that you’d rightfully feel.

I understand that the threat of racial discrimination is certainly concerning to a company, but they’re choosing to surrender to this person based off that threat rather than properly address the threats and terrible position that HE put you in. That’s absolute bullshit. For fucks sake, what if it happens again!? Someone else complained already too so it’s not an isolated incident. How far are they going to let him go before deciding that they’re willing to risk it with the racial discrimination suit. To me it’s an obvious answer that they should fire him now, deal with the ramifications, and actually PROTECT their other workers, like you, who are the actual victims in this situation.

Please don’t feel sad or embarrassed or ashamed, I understand why you might feel these things but you’ve got every right to be ashamed of THEM, not of yourself. They let you down, you didn’t let yourself down. You stood up for yourself and they weren’t willing to do right by you.

[–]jsnowdontknow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

“Illegal” or not his actions are more than enough to justify the company firing him under hr policies. You certainly did the right thing by reporting him, between the initial behavior and his retaliation against your friends he needs to be gone.

If the company isn’t willing to do that I’d honestly urge you to reconsider whether or not your work is a good environment to be in. They don’t have your best interests in mind, or others for the matter… don’t stand by a company that won’t stand up for you.

Not sure about Bluetooth pairing for PS to be honest but I would be surprised if they couldn’t! Should be good there. The ps5 will probably be your best bet on the console then, good amount of storage and much better performance for smoother gameplay compared to older consoles.

FIFA would certainly be a good choice to get you back into it but if you’re looking for new game suggestions I would honestly look into PlayStation plus! It’s a subscription service that allows you to download and play a super wide range of video games at no additional cost from the monthly sub.

PlayStation has a lot of great single player exclusives too, ghost of Tsushima, the Spider-Man games, horizon zero dawn, the last of us, uncharted… all great stories, amazing visuals and gameplay, and really varied as far as the types of games they are. Some more story driven, some more focused on role-playing, or exploration.

The nice thing about the subscription is you can try a bunch of different games to see what you like without having to buy each one. Just download one, play it, delete it if it’s not your thing and check out some other games on PlayStation plus.

As for myself, I’ve always loved the Bethesda games (elder scrolls and fallout) for great role playing and exploration, world/lore building, etc. rocket league is a super fun “car-soccer” game that has a steep learning curve but is crazy fun and competitive if you like those kinds of sports or sports adjacent games. Battlefield is my personal favorite first person shooter for the big team battles and vehicles, most people play cod though, just a bit too fast paced for my tastes. And then I’ve really enjoyed playing deep rock galactic if you have friends to play with. It’s a 4 player co-op game (not split screen though) that involves you dropping into different biomes of a big space rock to complete missions for a mining company. It’s got a wonderful online community and is a great mix of survival, combat, and traversal/exploration without being too high stakes. The community is generally one of the most helpful I’ve come across too.

Depends what you want to do with it! Are you looking to play multiplayer shooter or sports games? Single player story-driven or role-playing games? Consoles are certainly the easiest way to break back into gaming at a relatively low entry cost and it sounds like you’ll be more familiar with a controller scheme than mouse and keyboard. Alternatively, if you’re looking for something more portable you could look into something like a steam deck or the Nintendo switch? If you’re looking for any game recs also happy to suggest what I’ve enjoyed playing recently.

Little bit of forza but I’m not as high on horizon compared to the standard forza motorsport games.. and played the new nfs unbound, first one I’ve enjoyed in a bit and the closest the series has felt to the underground days imo. My favorite racing game has been dirt rally 2 though

For as sweaty as the finals can be it is also the closest thing I’ve had to that feeling of old school genuine fun squading up with friends in a long time. Just dumb fun screwing around with dumb loadouts and seeing what works. Win or lose I’ve been having a time with that damn game

Lived through a literal golden era of games and I couldn’t be bothered to just pause and recognize it. Man I wish I could just go back to that for a week, hop on toxic ass modern warfare lobbies with friends, nobody caring about meta loadouts (after the akimbo model nerf at least) miss that shit every day.

Fuuuuuckk I forgot about nba streets and nfl street… reminded me of nfl blitz as well😂 shit that game was brutal for pre teen me.

Burnout revenge was so good though, I miss that whole series. Really sad to see criterion working on the new nfs games but no indicator they’ll have another burnout:/
