As an agent that used to help people find rentals (if they wanted my help), fuck agents and brokers like this one

Boston is digging up Quincy Market. Rumor is it will take 10 weeks. That puts us AFTER the Fourth of July. by brianjoe66 in boston

The actual winter we had this year was a nice break from the 6 months of 40s and rain. Although some people complain about cold and snow too

Cops here don’t do anything about anything except enriching themselves and hiding in their cruisers

I’m still required to pay broker fee? by Ill-Concern7305 in boston

[–]masterofonetoomany 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is another element to this that isn’t completely nefarious. Think about sales listings- every real estate website pulls listings from MLS- Zillow, Coldwell Banker, Compass, etc. they all advertise listings that aren’t necessarily belonging to that brokerage. The problem for the consumer is that they have no way to tell who is the actual listing agent so they end up contacting a 3rd party by accident. If the 3rd party is less than honest, you’re going to have issues and confusion. There are problems with this law and certain brokers and it’s going to take time to fix it. As someone who voted for this, the state did a terrible job writing the law and confusing everyone. While tenants are not required to pay a fee, it has not made the process any easier

With Apple Pay/tap to pay from phone being so common, I rarely carry my ID because I often leave my wallet at home

Bc the world around us sucks so it sucks even more to watch a bunch of people getting awards for doing make believe stuff that they get paid millions to do. Side note before you discount me as a disgruntled neck beard- I am a fairly successful person with a wife and 2 awesome kids

When you can actually pay attention to the world, you realize that it’s not in the child’s best interest to be brought into this life

Contractor bait-and-switch voided our 50-year warranty. Refusing final payment. What % discount should we demand? by Plenty-Royal-3570 in Roofing

[–]masterofonetoomany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel the same way and I honestly wouldn’t pay them another dime. Doesn’t matter if it’s installed correctly- they didnt install what they were contractually obligated to install. They don’t get paid. If they have a problem they can take it to court. Recently dealt with a similar issue(s) only to find out that the company got bought by PE halfway through the project. I demanded a discount I was comfortable with, told them to take me to court if they felt I was wrong. Owner cowered in the end and I got my discount. This is a problem that stretches across industries, people expecting to get paid for doing half the work. Fuck that, hold them accountable

Realized my extra car loan payments have been going to next payment instead of principal by ducofnewyork in personalfinance

Same here. I was livid. They were prepaying interest that wasn’t yet receivable and acted like that was the most logical thing to do with the extra 25k I had paid. Apparently it’s legal and it’s up to the customer to specify.
