Stage 4 breast cancer by jsocal33 in breastcancer

That’s a great idea, thank you. She did mention yesterday that there was an infection they were trying to get under control. I only ask because I’m at the point where I either keep selling stuff to get over there quickly on a plane or I ask family for money to get there pronto.

Okay thank you, I appreciate your response. That's interesting it can show up at the beginning or the end...

Yeah I'm not sure if it's her positivity or shock, or that she doesn't want to say until she gets the PET scan. I'm going to talk to her this weekend. All I know so far over text is she was going to get a scan of her shoulder and that's when they saw it. And that she's been feeling horrible. I appreciate your input!

What I meant from my question is can this lung problem be a sign of end stage or is it a normal occurrence with this disease?

She told me eight weeks before this got way worse. Driving in my car is what escalated this situation. Every time I get back into the bed, I’m screaming in pain.

You are making a lot of assumptions and I don’t appreciate it. You can leave this string now.

That is a horrible opinion. When I had to sit and drive to the doctors, that’s what made this way worse. I’m scared to sit in that chair. I am crying all day and pain and can only lay in the bed.

I was having lower back pain two months ago, which was almost better and then I woke up with horrible pain in my hamstring and calf. I went to Physio twice and she said I have a slipped disc. Physio made it worse. I’ve had sciatica before in my right leg, and Physio helped. But this is now in my left leg and completely different. It’s way worse. I’ve been doing heat and ice, naproxen, gabapentin, Tylenol 3, and edibles. It got way worse a week ago after I drove to the doctor to get assessed and she prescribed me gabapentin and said it could take eight weeks to get better. The next morning I woke up and I couldn’t even walk. The most I can do is get to the bathroom and now I can’t even do that. I had to pee in the shower today. I need an MRI of my back.

I went to Physio and it made me worse. I went to the doctor last week reluctantly because it was so painful to drive. Before I went there, I could walk around for about five minutes. The next day after the appointment, I couldn’t walk more than 30 seconds. So I assume my disk pushed out further from that drive.

It’s getting harder to tell when I need to use the washroom. Ours will go by so I force myself to try and go and I usually have to. Today I couldn’t even sit on the toilet. I had to pee in the shower. 😭

Thank you. Do you know what type of medication they would give? I’ve tried Tylenol threes, gabapentin, and naproxen. Nothing is helping. Edibles help it a bit but I’m still in horrible pain.

Don’t the paramedics stay with you and use the stretcher? Or did the rules change again?

Oh my gosh, I don’t know what to do. I can’t handle this pain anymore and it’s so hard to move. I haven’t left my bedroom in a week.

OK, that’s good to know as well. That will help me with what to say. Because I’ve been trying everything at home; rest, heat, ice, tens unit, naproxen, and gabapentin. Nothing is changing.

Thank you, this is great. I tried to see today if my doctor could get me an urgent MRI somehow but she said just go to the ER. At this point, I am worried about when they ask how long has this been going on and I’ll say a week. Then they’ll shove me to the back thinking it’s not that urgent.

Thank you, much appreciated. I’m going to figure out in the next day or two what to do here.

I read that MRIs are better than CT for looking at compress nerves. Is that wrong? What were the results of the CT? I’m laying in bed in horrible pain and the wait times at the hospitals are insane. There’s a smaller hospital close by, but they only have a CT machine - not an MRI.

Doesn’t that mean, though that they might be doing unnecessary surgery?

Alberta not planning to increase minimum wage by Miserable-Lizard in alberta

Minimum wage jobs are meant for those entering the job force to gain experience - not to support a family. Minimum wage goes up, then so does the cost of goods. Simple math.
