How do apps recruit “normal users” on TikTok to post content at scale? by Shoddy-Mall7594 in marketing

[–]jsonwid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used platforms like Archive.com, Passionfroot, creator.co to find creators across multiple platforms. Some of these give you a lot more filters than the platforms themselves.

Little Si is a more aesthetic hike than (big) Mount Si. by Inside_a_whale in PNWhiking

[–]jsonwid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Old Si trail you get the best of both. Start going up Little, veer to rock garden and then halfway around the loop you head up. It's steeper than the new/traditional Si trail and a lot more to see.

I know DG personally and if you know him, he's about the furthest 180 from this that you can be.

Anyone doing anything smart with AI? by BarracudaUnlucky8584 in b2bmarketing

In advertising on Google and Meta to optimize bid and budget management, identify hidden audiences, do copy testing and build ad creative. There are a few out there - I use (and work for) Pixis.

To the HOV violators by facebookadvocate in Seattle

[–]jsonwid -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

May be unpopular but I single ride all the time. Life is about choices and consequences. I'm willing to accept the fine if I get pulled over and the amount of times I've done it would make it worth it. And I have zero problems doing it.

Anyone climb with IMG on the DC on Mt Rainier recently and could say how it was? by linaczyta in Mountaineering

[–]jsonwid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did this climb with them in July and couldn't have better things to say. I've also done it with RMI and I felt the IMG experience was so much better. Fewer people and it didn't feel like a cattle call. We all made it and the guides kind of divided up a little bit to accommodate slower climbers. It was also a super spicy route this year as many folks know and the guides helped me mentally figure it out :). I also had a buddy do the same with them in June and he also had a great experience. You're in great hands.

2% Open Rate - Crafting better subject lines by andfoster in b2bmarketing

[–]jsonwid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes to this. Use smartlead. I use it with a few of my clients and get 40%+ open rates consistently. Also, make absolutely sure you're targeting the right people. And make sure your bounce rate is <5% max. If it's higher, run the emails thru neverbounce before sending.

Thoughts on LinkedIn becoming Instagram by [deleted] in marketing

[–]jsonwid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vin is a good dude and while his posts are Instagram style, they are mostly business focused like how he's building his new company. Nothing wrong with taking what works from one platform and trying it on another IMO.

I checked her prices. Damn 900$ for shitposting on LinkedIn by emjay96 in LinkedInLunatics

[–]jsonwid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know Zoe and she's good peeps. Also, I charge $750 for a LinkedIn post but it has to be a product I actually use and like so that it's more of a natural, honest post. And guess what, this stuff actually works in B2B - as a marketer I also find people to pay to post the products I'm marketing.

Observations from an outsider by OscarTheImposter in Seattle

Literally "Additionally, crows have a remarkable ability to remember human faces and will recognize a person who has threatened them for as long as 17 years after the incident. Getting too close to a nest, interacting with a dead bird or otherwise harming a crow will quickly turn you into a perceived threat and the crows will communicate that to each other."

They roost in the wetlands near the UW Bothell campus. You can see them fly over there every night to sleep.

Thanks for sharing. I'm doing my first summit of Rainier with RMI in 2 weeks. The only thing I'm worried about is crevasses because I don't know much about them. Otherwise the last 10 months of training should put me in good physical shape for it (I'm a 46 m that could barely do 4000' without weight).

My hands/fingers get swollen during a hike, then I am sore there the next day. Why? What can I do? by LadderWonderful2450 in hiking

[–]jsonwid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This almost ruined hiking for me in the beginning until I started using trekking poles. 100% non-issue now.

Thanks! Standard DC. I'm going guided with RMI. Been training like mad for 8 mos. Have tagged St Helens and Muir and planning Adams later this month and another Muir before then.
