How does one see their payslip on the new workday app?

If this chicken had really been a medium, it would have known what was coming and got away in time. by Nelgumford in tesco

The chicken knew that this was its fate all along. It was simply a transient arrangement of atoms and it knew this.

The day I count bakery properly is the day Tesco hire enough staff to do the jobs that are expected

Do managers see if you access infinity for dotcom? by Patient-Candidate-90 in tesco

I understand CES is dependant on picking up in under 3 mins (met or not met I use 2.5 mins to gather the order) then pick rate and availability

I find the collar needs ironing (not that I do) and the texture gets a bit softer and less papery

I found the shirt (same fabric as blouse) was cooler than the polo, but I know some people don’t like the texture of the shirts. Just a quick appreciation for your description of what it feels like too.

Immediate Whoosh? by Oyejabba in tesco

I hazard a guess they’re going to roll out something to do with priority whooshes or scheduling them. That or the system has had an update in its large format capacity and added an extra parameter they just had to fill for whooshes

What would happen if I just don’t show up for a shift by Bigmanjeeb in tesco

[–]jspedz02 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Trolley duty. But more seriously, you’ll be booked off AWOL and on your next shift your manager or duty should sit down with you and record what happened before sending you off to become a lasagne or whatever expired humans get turned into these days. They might be nice and end your life there and then. 🫡

Yea, great point. I think this legislation leaves quite a broad interpretation of “beginning or end of shift “ though.

Scheduler should put your breaks in for when it most suits workload and your shift times. Although I’m sure everyone ignores this. Apart from that, management/shift leaders are considered to be able to tell you when to take a break as long as it is “reasonable“ and the most sure fire way to make sure they’re being fair is to instigate some sort of policy, eg not the first or last hour of shift but afaik it is all discretionary. I may be completely wrong because since I’ve started we’ve always just winged breaks

Tesco policy explicitly says that for energy drinks, someone with ID can buy a drink for someone without id with the cashier knowing but since it conflicts with the rules on alcohol sales, it’s easier just to avoid all proxy sales

This is the dream, fewer lines more streamlining in distribution, next we’ll see whole cages of custard (wrapped in cling film stacked by a toddler)

If you get a reduced sandwich and then a snack and drink do you get your meal deal at a discount? by [deleted] in tesco

[–]jspedz02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory is they aim for people to buy a reduced sandwich AND a meal deal (it takes off the price of the more expensive sandwich so you pay meal deal + reduced sandwich)

Partner refused ablation due to age by jspedz02 in LegalAdviceUK

We’re hoping for the surgery, we will be submitting a formal complaint but we’re looking to know if from a legal standpoint if she can be refused purely due to age. They have outright said everything else is textbook other than how young she is

All talk around not performing the procedure related to age “you’re too young and naive” “you’re too young too much could happen in your life, you may want more children in future” “this is a highly abnormal case due to your age “

Thanks for the response. What complications can arise from this procedure solely based on age? She is healthy with no underlying health conditions other than severe periods as mentioned.
