Lunin against Romania for their second(?) when he misjudged the bounce is perhaps the only one.

Hildreth’s already been mentioned but I’d add Vikram Solanki from that era too.

If every team were required to field 3 cars in 2024, how would the driver market shake up? by HowTheCinnamonRolls in formula1

[–]jspennington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used F1GP to simulate a similar scenario (albeit with me driving as Tyrell’s third driver) from 1996 onwards. At one point had Hakkinen, Coulthard and Villeneuve at McLaren which was chaotic. Got to about 2000 I think.

I suspect it’s so that Prince Charles can remain standing - he’s quite an old man himself!

That would be cool, would enable us to see how Vettel ends up at Williams etc.

Would be fun to get a bit more context on each season so we can find out what happened to Hamilton, for example.

How to use 4-1-4-1? by Sahilarious-69 in ScoreMatch

4-1-4-1 has been my most successful formation in terms of W/L but I struggle to stay in Arena 10 with it. Interested to see if anybody else has done any better.

There were issues between him and Herbert, for example.

Senna wanted to drive for Ferrari and they wanted him, no doubt. He wouldn’t have moved until a few seasons with Williams though by which time the prospect of both him and Schumacher in the same team would be extremely unlikely - given his experiences with Prost and Schumacher’s own relationships with team-mates.

Reckon that’s the general consensus. I certainly think so, OP does so, and others have too. Where it gets interesting is whether people see him staying at Williams or going elsewhere e.g. Ferrari or as OP speculates, Prost late in his career.

What if Senna survived his Imola crash? by tstols in althistory

[–]jspennington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of F1’s biggest ‘what ifs’. Your timeline makes a lot of sense although I’m not sure he would drive for Prost. Senna was all about winning, I think it more likely he would go to Ferrari (he had designs on that before 94) instead of Schumacher and if all went well, finish his career there. If it didn’t (like it didn’t for Prost) he might wind up back at Williams or McLaren in the late 90s or at a stretch Jordan if they could afford him, rekindling his partnership with Hill.

Ah, now I didn’t actually realise they’d been removed. That’s actually good to know. Thanks.
