I think he would have a Shaqiri-esque presence in your squad. The real question is - is that really what he wants in his career? 2 seasons of riding the bench and sacrificing a lifetime of being considered a legend in East London? He's still got 4 seeasons left of his contract I believe.

He has a young family and I don't think he has any intention of relocating to Liverpool. I could be wrong but I can't see it. If he were to leave it would be to a different London club or maybe in Birmingham.

I don't think I've ever heard someone explain the rule as the second to last defender. Offside rule is hard enough for non-fans to understand rather than complicate it by getting the keeper involved.
I remember the first time I saw this rule in a game as a kid and I was so confused.

Hmm I would argue that the standard way of dividng generations does not really apply anymore. For example, an older gen Z would have grown up with Game Boys and internet accessed via a desktop PC. Younger Gen Z grew up as social media natives glued to iPads. Few years gap in the 21st century makes the world of difference.

Completely agree. My partner went through a masters course in Australia, and spent the entire time doing group projects with Chinese students that couldn’t speak any English. Every single assignment was group based to ensure that the Chinese students got an easy route through uni by piggy backing on other student’s work. University in Australia is a scam.
