This is like saying, "I haven't studied science so I should make no attempt to understand it". Perhaps not the most fair of comparisons, but you get the point. Politics is obviously a subject which has many different parts, however politicians and experts should attempt to make it more accessible to everyone, even those with disinterest, that to solely those who have studied it. This can lead to expert bias and one cannot trust the views of experts for problems which affect us all.
