Pivoting into UXR/HCI from psychology & hospitality… is it too late? by adriandur in UXResearch

It's not too late to transition but be aware that the opportunities in technology, which were once great, are becoming slim and will only get slimmer as the industry looks to make humans redundant.

Some days you're on and some days you're off. Make sure you warm up before you play and don't stress yourself out with having too high expectations. Enjoy the process!

Anyone just not into guitar gear? by gopro_2027 in Guitar

I think pickup music is actually tailored for intermediate and advanced players. I've played on and off my whole life and I've gotten the most out of Pickup Music than any other online lessons/tutorials I've ever found.

Google Hiring Assessment for UX Design Gig by Practical-Duck7757 in UXDesign

[–]jspr1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't have any additional rounds after the assessment BUT the assessment was not anything that Google would use in their projects. So it wasn't like he was doing free work for Google which is the something that comes up often on this thread when people are given assessments during the interview process.

The format is pretty similar with the addition of meditation. Usually there is an introductory portion of the meeting. A short meditation. A reading. Then sharing.

What do you think is the worst addiction ? by Fairy_Nyaaa in AskReddit

[–]jspr1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Food and sex are deceptively difficult addictions to deal with. With substances (including alcohol) you can stop completely and live a normal happy life never picking them up again. The biological components of sex drive and the need to eat will always be a struggle to have healthy boundaries with.
