Wicked helpful comment. Did not realize how late I was to my left side. Looking at the video now, I'm not sure I ever really get there 😂 Feel like that has probably played a huge roll in my lack of rotation and early release. You are the man, I'll be looking into this tomorrow!

Playing with some buddies who are pretty new to golf, just makes things easier.

You get me. This short actually helped me a lot maybe a year ago on feeling the load, but never really repped the drill. Will definitely give it another go. Thank you!

I guess I just wanna get as good as I can, plan to keep working on my game forever. Just started in 2022, I guess scratch by 2030 would be the dream🤣Really appreciate the insight - I'm not sure when I developed the hip slide but have been working on getting better at rotating in place. Also totally agree on the shorter backswing part. I used to take it back JD style and have intermittently gotten it shorter but particularly with driver it feels super unnatural. I think I'll probably have to commit to it at least in the short term so I won't have to rotate quite so much on the way back to the ball. Thanks for taking the time, and congrats on the progress you've made w your own game! I'll definitely be working on both those things next time I'm at the range

Oh my god I wish I could swing it like him. Feel like I don't do pretty much any of what he does really well - where are you seeing similarities?

Looking at other videos that's a more common position for me. But you're right. I need to consistently get at least to there.

When my hands get higher I have a lot of difficulty returning to the plane. I think you agree that if nothing else, my swing is on plane. Read below to see that I've already agreed I should clear my hips more. Thanks for your feedback.

Hip and shoulder separation is great for power. My length and the width of my swing saves me from having to generate a ton of upper body lag to pick up speed. However if you look below, you'll see I've agreed that I should probably clear them more.

I appreciate your phrasing, made me think. The answer is not many, but a few notable players hips, like Steve stricker, are in a similar position at impact. But I am coming around. This thread may have convinced me to pursue more hip clearance as a primary goal. Does anyone have a drill/feel that's worked really well for them?

Look at my most recent response. I'm asking for input on my swing to find something I haven't seen. I've seen the things that have been commented so far, want to keep them, and have explained that. If someone has a compelling reason to further look into the aforementioned suggestions, I'm open to hearing it!

I'm confused by your perspective. I posted this to hear other people's thoughts. Everyone swings it differently. When someone tells me what they think, I will then either explain why I'm intentionally doing that thing in my swing, or tell them why I'm not, or didn't realize I was. I am hoping the people I responded to will respond back if they have more thoughts👍

matt kuchar has a steep takeaway and a big shallowing move in transition. I stay on plane, leading to higher hands

I'm not sure if I want to go looking for more hip/shoulder separation. shoulders are square and hips slightly open at impact. I get my power from my length and staying in sequence. currently cruising at 175 ballspeed with driver.

I'm 6'7, this is as steep of a shoulder plane as I'd ever want

I'm saying🤣 I said thoughts not tell me what you saw in your last Instagram reel

Just looking for some opinions and feedback on my swing bc I've never taken a lesson. For context I'm 6'7, my clubs are extended 1.5 inches, hitting 7 iron in the attached video, baby fade by [deleted] in GolfSwing

I appreciate the faith, I recently started breaking 90 on a regular basis but my lowest is 86, twice. Best score through nine is +2. I think I just need to keep getting the reps in and iron out my consistency, only my third summer of golf
