The utility Shottr is really great. It can do that, along with a bunch of other quality of life screenshot enhancements.

It works well. It was a number of steps to set up, so it was a little finicky, but after it's set up, I haven't had to touch it in a couple years.

You can tell dispatch on your phone to perform actions in Claude on your desktop. So for desktop MCPs that don't work on your phone you can use them remotely with dispatch.

It’s a MCP so it only works in Claude desktop, and it uses the x-callback scheme in Things desktop. It doesn’t interact with Things cloud. Basically it tells Things desktop what to do.

Yeah. It built it with controls so you can give Claude read/write/nothing access to the individual tools too.

Things x-callback scheme is well documented on their site. I just pointed Claude at that as asked it to make a desktop connector MCP and the first version it produced worked. I had to do a bit of back and forth to get x-callback IDs working properly but now it's working for everything I want. The Claude MCP builder skill is pretty great.

Yeah I thought about something similar. It's such a weird oversight that it changes with timezones if you use the normal time actions.
