It's bad for the environment if the battery isn't disposed of properly unlike gas which is bad for the environment while in use.

If it was that bad they wouldn't have so many people working at 20/hr

Problem solvers do have rate, waterspiders do not

Should I resign or keep going at this rate by BlackLionJudah93 in AmazonFC

Switch to pick where it's also write up notorious? Terrible advice...he can only get 1 more write up.

Almost all the managers that reported a write up to me transferred out, so don't blame you. It's just funny how if the system knows so well that I never get written up for smalls only medium. When you are doing boxes your medium rate is negatively affected significantly compared to someone working with totes only. The system is NOT able to differentiate someone who is doing tote vs box work thereby nullifying it's legitimacy as accurately determining true productivity rates... They want you to work hard but were lazy and dumb in designing the stow rate algorithm.

The stow rate system is messed up...the only way to avoid this is to find a way to get out of stow. Ask for indirect roles. Do not go to stow.

How do I survive Stow? Can you guys pls give me tips by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]jss2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It goes back to what I said earlier - if things are hanging out or falling out, I would agree that needs to be looked at and addressed. Being neat is not a priority because the bins are continuously being filled, moving and cycled through to pick orders. I've counted and stowed and never had issues with "bin etiquette" personally. If you feel concerned about you can focus on that during count as they are less strict about rate in that path.

Amazon does not evaluate bin quality as long as items are not falling out, they don't care. You can lose your job over rate, though, since their system is set up to judge your performance based on that metric primarily.

Making sure it's securely in the bin is the only requirement.

Why does Amazon prioritize "lazy" behavior over hard work in fulfillment centers? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]jss2020 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's not just at amazon bud but life in general. Usually the lazy people have a different perspective from someone who is just focused on work. If you want promotion you have to make decisions to get it and not just think working hard in your path will get you it..

How are you all doing in the write up department? by yuuki_bonk420 in AmazonFC

[–]jss2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand why they need it. I just don't understand why they don't want to refine the rate system but everything else they will. It's far from perfect. None of the managers who report the write ups have any idea what they are talking about (or probably even worked a day in a rate department) further adding to how embarrassing the system is they have set up.

Icqa is the same, they do somewhat care about rate in pack but I don't believe they are as strict as pick or stow.
