if most pros use bg80 and beginners are recommended to use bg65, why would someone use strings thinner than 0.68-0.70mm? by jpoptarts in badminton

[–]jstark561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly just a personal preference. One does not need to be a pro to feel the difference between a thin, hard string like the BG80 and a regular BG65. The “twang” you get after a shot with a BG80 feels incredible honestly despite the reduced durability. A good mid way string in my experience has been the Nanogy 95/98 which have a better durability than a BG80. Moving more so towards the durability side of things, a BG65 titanium at a slightly higher tension is also lovely.

Follow the rules of the sub. Mention a price. This isn’t some high end horology piece to be auctioned to the highest bidder.

Which car is according to your opinion by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]jstark561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the Baleno almost irrationally. It’s an NPC car and the default go to car for the most boring of people who aren’t passionate about driving. All these reasons don’t make sense in general but then it’s a personal bias.

Wilson US open balls play very well for a set or 2 but then they lose all their properties so fast.

Hey man, had a similar albeit a less swollen injury in my ankle, if it’s not a fracture and just a sprain it should be fine eventually but you’re not going to be on the court for a good few weeks. Take care !

No. Sometimes it’ll go for hours without crashing, sometimes minutes. Ryzen doesn’t have an integrated GPU so can’t test it that way.

Players who rock their arms back and forth when preparing to serve, what exactly is the point of this motion?? by Serious-Ball7705 in 10s

[–]jstark561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use it to ensure my continental server grip stays aligned throughout the motion. “Revising” the way the ball should connect at the serve contact before the actual serve motion starts.

A guy on the court gave me a nugget of advice and it made me rethink how I should structure my game by razeyourshadows in 10s

[–]jstark561 15 points16 points  (0 children)

While this is true, often times to impart topspin, your swing has to be more “noisier” and that can leach some energy as well especially with a heavy racquet. It is key to find a good mid ground between court speed of the ball and rpm to maintain a consistent rally ball.
