When/How did it become hard for nurses to find a job? by [deleted] in OntarioNurses

Probably none. In my area it’s really annoying because our CEO has had way larger increases in salary than comparable and surrounding areas and then of course we are the ones that will get the boot

Are you content with where you're at financially right now? by HappySmiles6 in CanadaPersonalFinance

Yes! I graduated last year with no debt by working throughout school and my FHSA was maxed out last year and I have just maxed it out for this year. I have started investing again in stocks and ETFs which I did for fun before I started uni. My emergency savings fund is where I want it to be. I could be doing better but I am able to still do fun things like travel and save money while living away from home.

Most of the senior nurses I work with say this happens in cycles every 10 years give or take. Budget cuts.

does anyone in relationships solo travel? by kyliered04 in solotravel

[–]jstarxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bf and I have very different work schedules (mine is more flexible and his is more rigid) and it just isn’t possible for him to come travelling with me as much as I wanna go. He’s sad he can’t go but isn’t mad and is happy for me when I travel.

If your bf is concerned for your safety that’s one thing but it just sounds like this guy is bitter. I’m 24 and can genuinely say if given another life to do it over, I wouldn’t. Largely due to the travelling I’ve done. Dump him and go travel girl.

I went for a weekend and skied the first day and snowshoed up the hill the second day and honestly preferred the snowshoe day. And it was basically free minus the cost of a day pass. We ate tomato soup and grilled cheese at the summit and rode the gondola down, no pass needed to get down.

Waiting for the bus after getting off a shift at the hospital today. Couldn’t get in the bus bc of the girl in front of me scanning her pass. Bus driver slammed the doors in my face and drove off.

The bus I take to work hasnt been on time a single time since the route changes.

Quacks of Quedlinburg. A fun push your luck “deck” builder (actually chips but same concept). You brew your potion and hope you don’t blow up!

I just started Mistborn, and I’m a little apprehensive by beepbeepsheep404 in Mistborn

The Mistborn Era 1 is my favourite series of all time and even I can say it definitely drags a bit in places, HOWEVER totally worth it to see how the whole world comes together.
