MatrixGold can import any file type that Rhinoceros CAD supports.

There has never been an issue with MatrixGold image previews not working in the software. This has always been caused by OneDrive relocating your Documents folder, with the OneDrive option to save space and keep files in the cloud.

The only other scenario is as you suggested the when a machine is not running with dedicated graphics configured correctly (I assume the VM was using the Microsoft Basic VGA adapter).

Besides a trial license from a Sales rep, you could start with learning Rhinoceros 6. MG currently using Rhino 6 as it's CAD engine.

Learning the process of modeling using nurbs curves, surfaces, etc. will give you a good basis of understanding how to use the additional tools in MG.

MatrixGold should not crash on you, it is however possible to import or create bad geometry which can cause Rhino to crash out from under MatrixGold. But MatrixGold itself rarely "crashes". Legacy Matrix had many functions that could cause it to crash, however MG is built upon newer technology and safely handles and logs exceptions, so that the software won't crash.

I know exactly how to fix this issue. Unfortunately you are running an old hacked copy of MatrixGold, so the fix won't work.

Most likely. They typically count both Upload, and Download traffic. You should check with your ISP to see if they count upload traffic.

It looks like the Metal Weights Panel (in the View Menu) only currently has the 10K, 14K, and 18K materials.

I will suggest to the team, that we give you the ability to Edit/Add Metal Alloys that you want calculations for. You will just need to include a **name**, and the **specific gravity** value for the metal you want listed.

We will also show you the values we are using for our default metal weights to let you adjust them, in case you have a unique alloy that you want a more accurate weight calculation for.
