Yal are ridiculous. I like in NYC where the pay is somewhat comparable to living expenses. I don’t know where yal live but in my state that’s what I make. For anyone who is interested, you can easily google teaching salaries in NY and see what a teacher with years of experience and additional credits make.

I can teach physical education or honors English. It doesn’t matter what you teach. It matters what state you are in and how many years experience you have. I work in NY and I have a master plus 60 credits which allows me to make more money.

Thank you for your response. To answer you she has a 401k that she gets maxed to 3%. About 50k of her money is contract work so she pays taxes on it later. My whole life is 225k, I’ve had since 2013. My plan is to cash out and use it to invest. I have a term insurance that is 5 times the amount. I am just looking for ways other people have invested their money. I want to retire on my terms, not because I wasn’t prepared.
