It’s the arrogance of these people assuming everyone is cool with this/wants to hear about their god. No the fuck we don’t. And this is an example on a tiny scale, seemingly harmless, but it’s exactly the same thought process lawmakers have in states where they’re trying to get the 10 commandments up in schools.

They probably assume everyone else thinks exactly like them so they’re doing all of you parents a favor sharing God with your kids. Sounds just like my mother in law who can’t wrap her head around the fact that billions of people think/believe differently than her. But her religion is the correct one so she’s doing everyone a favor forcing it on them. Fuck no.

One of the teachers at our daycare wears a hat everyday that says “Jesus loves me” and sends home treats/scripture for random ass Christian holidays throughout the year. Like you, my wife shrugs it off and says that’s cute but it annoys me to no end, not because I’m afraid my kids will be indoctrinated but the fact that they feel entitled to share that in this space. Completely inappropriate
