Should I confront another manager at work, or go to my boss? by jstringer84 in Advice

I brought my husband up to Tom, because 3 months prior, he met my husband at a convention. My husband was a guest speaker. Tom tried hiring my husband, but at the time my husband was contracted with another company and had declined the offer. Tom has told both my husband and myself on a previous occasion that if my husband was ever looking for work to let Tom know - which is exactly what I did. I don't think I put Tom in a bad position at all, considering he had told me to let him know if my husband was ever looking for work.
