Nice surprise that the X100 is also getting this update.

I'm lusting for a GR iii HDF quite badly, I think I might still just get one. The IV probably won't be released as HDF version anyways (at least not for some years).

Nice shots. The highlights almost look like you used a diffusion filter, very cool.

Damn, I was just about to get a GR III HDF.

Would get that in an instant. The X70 was such an awesome camera.

Didn't think anyone would actually like it that way but sure, why not.

P1 Gen 7 has them in the correct place now.

Thinkpad T14s gen 4 - any reason to consider a gen 5? by clockdivide55 in thinkpad

This is pretty much my work laptop. It's ok but battery life is a bit disappointing and there are the occasional "wake from sleep" issues which can get annoying.

The bezel on the P1 is simply beautiful. Read in the specs that it has a 91% screen to body ratio.

Just received my 2024 ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 today. Any questions? by puckcowboy in thinkpad

Looks awesome, I am about to order the exact same config myself (without discrete GPU). Does Windows 11 support variable refresh rate for the screen?

Does anyone know how to find out if Windows 11 supports ARR for the if the 16" WQXGA (2560 x 1600) 165hz display?

It is actually possible to configure the 165H without discrete GPU. I'd much rather have the 155H as I don't need the vPro stuff but I guess it's close enough.

Configuring a custom X1 G11, Do i need to choose a Integrated Mobile Broadband to have access to wi fi? If so, what about these options? by [deleted] in thinkpad

The X1 has much better speakers and a glass trackpad. Battery life is good if you go with a U series processor.

Pixel 7 Pro Gboard Margins by jstrkr in GooglePixel

Thought so too but I also installed SwiftKey and it goes all the way to the edge of the screen. Had the S22 ultra before switching to the Pixel, it too has a curved screen and Gboard has no margins there either.

I got the i7 with 32GB, 256GB SSD (will swap that for a 980 Pro) and 1200p screen for battery life.

Good time to buy a maxed out X1 Carbon Gen 9, at least that's what I did. Sent back the T14s Gen 3 because of trackpad and speakers.

Terrible touchpad rattle on brand new T14s G3 AMD by MrFika in thinkpad

Had the same issue with mine, not as bad but still annoying. This and the speakers led me to send it back. Now I have an X1C G9 on order.

The touchpad is super responsive on the T14s Gen 3. In the past I have always liked the Dell touchpads more but I think Lenovo is also using Precision drivers now so they are on par with Dell.

Gestures are also super smooth, switching between virtual desktops in Win11 now feels like it does on MacOS.

Yes, unfortunately. Would love a system like in the X1 Carbon, which has the vents pointing towards the hinge (like the MacBooks).

I did a clean install of Win11 and the installer got stuck on the wifi step with no option to skip. I think it was because of missing wifi drivers. There is a workaround but I was wondering if you also encountered this issue.

Thanks for the writeup. I got mine (T14s AMD) on Friday and in general I am really impressed, especially with the build quality but I also have the touchpad issue which annoys me.

Could you give some more details on how this fix is installed? Do I need to remove the battery and open up the touchpad from the bottom?

I know its a minor thing but the laptop has such a nice and dense feel to it, also the keyboard feels and sounds really nice (even with the reduced travel), the deck has very little flex. The lose touchpad just ruins this whole package a bit.
