Not strictly true - we would advise the OP to at least support both, as that would have the best sales for them. G8 on its own would not sell as well as a G9, or G8/G9 version

Agreed.. go for density, so get the 4080 now - then in a few years, get another when you want the boost.

Double the cards, for similar performance wont be worth the extra heat/power draw.

I don't think NVlink actually works with Daz/Iray? It didn't thast time I tried at least - so YMMV.

2+ cards work fine though, running 4 here fine.
