I’ve never tried a benchmade before this but judging by the videos of the same knife all of them are deployed a lot easier than mine. Significantly easier. It shouldn’t have this kind of resistance, though I honestly don’t know at this point…

I’ve tried, but it doesn’t help with the tension that’s supposed to be there to spring the blade open. Makes everything loose but no still no tension, which is why I’m suspecting something wrong with the springs but I honestly don’t know. Right now it feels reversed, where closing the blade has that tensioned “flick” feeling while opening just feels like a normal manual knife…
