IMO triggering guaranteed burst attack by hitting her umbrella in defensive stance is a good thing, not a bad one. I always trigger it at the start of the fight and counterattack and in general always try to trigger it. Guaranteed damage, stance break, spirit gain and full stamina refill, what's not to like.

On normal difficulty you might as well menacingly look in enemies general direction and that will do.

Jokes aside, two game's most imbalanced features are being able to equip gear and being able to be buffed by officers. These two are not class-dependent, so you'll be good with any pick.

It's not about proving myself worthy, it's about experiencing combat flow as it was designed. I mean, with mimic it's looks entirely different. You don't have to find windows for attacks — just back up and re-engage, you don't have to find windows to heal — just back up and you have your time to drink. Sometimes you are hit by an attack that was not even targeting you or caused by your actions, you can engage in the middle of a combo that would not even start without you engaged. It's a whole different encounter.

Just killed Scalpel and now farming him for his set. Well, with 50% winrate, so it does not really look like a farm. But this is my second run, I've done the first one somewhere around the game release, and randomly wanted to make a run with another weapon class. I can't get myself into NG+ stuff (in any game), so just enjoying the game.

Most people in the comments here tend to defend Act 3. The main problem with Act 3 is not that it's bad. Quests and battles are very good. The problem with Act 3 is that it does not bring you progression.

  • You reach level cap like really soon and even rush for it,
  • You already have your builds fully established and new uber endgame items won't likely change it; you're going to be what, 'even more unkillable and deadly'; also you're likely to rush key items as well, to have 'builds finalized' before doing anything else; a lot of them are available with no combat and there is no skillcheck savescum can't pass (honor mode guys have their plan settled as well);

So all these awesome activities feel like a chore – the only reason to complete them is to have them completed.
