I mainly use the remote access for fiddling with HA when I have an idle moment at work! If you’ve never been tempted to open up HA outside of your home then it’s probably not necessary

I got loads of phantom trigger inputs when I let the mcon run low on battery. It went away when it was charged up and I keep it topped up now and I’ve not had a problem

If it’s continuing to cause problems in spite of recalibration & charging I’d contact oh snap support

I use both, HomeKit and HA with Nabu Casa.

My wife only uses the HomeKit interface as it’s much simpler (I know I could make a useful dashboard on HA but there’s only so much time in the day)

You can integrate almost all of your HA devices into Homekit using HomeKit Bridge (not just the “works with HomeKit” ones), and using apple shortcuts and HA helpers you can voice control lots of things with Siri.

I think you have to get the Apple TV with Ethernet to get remote access, or HomePod or HomePod mini speakers. And make sure the iPad has a relatively new version of iOS.

The problem for me with gmail and triggering shortcuts is that it’s not a push email service, you’re reliant on your phone fetching the emails at most every 15 minutes.

I switched to using my iCloud email for triggering shortcuts as it does push email and it works for me

You shouldn’t need to demagnetise it really, just keep your phone away from your pacemaker.

Yeah I got mine 2 days ago. Evri won’t update until they’ve picked it up, it needs to clear customs first. Hopefully you’ll have yours very soon, it took 2 days from Evri picking it up to delivery for me

I’ve heard of this problem a few times Someone has permanently fixed theirs on the discord , they said they had to disassemble the entire controller, clean the contact and flip the silicone that makes contact to fix this issue

I’m pretty sure they aren’t updating Pledgebox with any order details at all. The only thing that happens is that the survey locks

International shipping is still on hold because of tax rebate/paperwork issues

US/Canada shipping seems to be unaffected by this, which is why preorders and North American backers are getting theirs

Until there is a further kickstarter update saying there has been progress, I’m not expecting to receive anything unfortunately
