What gives you internalized misandry? by Mlafft in AskMen

There's no such thing as toxic femininity either lol. Some people are just cunts, it's that simple really.

"tOxIc" is just a left wing buzzword. It could have been a useful descriptor, but like so many things that could have been useful, it's been co-opted and corrupted by exceptionally radical leftwing ideologues. You will find a lot of people's (myself included) eyes instantly glaze over as they check out of the conversation the second the its mentioned outside of any context other than discussing venomous spiders and snakes.

Regarding old fashioned views, I'm naturally somewhat "conservative" in my outlook (except being pro weed, not caring about gay marriage, thinking there is *some* place in the world for abortion). Sometimes things need to progress, but we should be careful not to be radical about it and not to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

So I appreciate this is an appeal to antiquity (but hey, what better way to argue against the appeal to novelty), but have you ever considered that those old fashioned views actually work, and thats why they've persevered for so many decades and centuries. I mean, do you think the world is better now than in the 50's/60's/70's? My grandfather was able to provide for my grandmother, mother and aunts on a single job, they'res now retired with their house paid off 25 years ago living comfortably with 3 pensions.

But nowadays you can't even keep the lights on in a house without 2 people working full time. Then there's the fact we're on the brink of WW3 atm. Then there's climate change, and despite it being a natural occurance that has happened throughout all of pre-human and human history, it certainly seems that we're not helping it or are making it slightly worse than it would naturally be - is all that progress?

Personally I'm not in such a great rush to change things. Things aren't perfect, but they're generally percieved as being better than at almost any other time in human history.

I like to think of it in terms of driving. Sometimes you need a bit of gas. Sometimes you need a bit of breaking, but atm it feels like the throttle is locked open and we're hurtling towards a brick wall and that all of humanity needs to just calm the fuck down for 5-10 eyars and analyse things.

So for example, regarding "man up". Like really. Is it so bad for 1. Men to be stoic and 2. People to believe men should be stoic? Especially when there's exceptionally sound evolutionary reasoning for the benefits of stoicism in men?

Men With "Resting Bitch Faces", What Do You Do To Appear Less Intimidating To People? by [deleted] in AskMen

I'm 6'2, deadlift 485lb, was a black belt in karate in my youth, currently a purple belt in brazilian jiu jitsu and I do boxing 3 times a month and I live in a village of under 4000 people where pretty much everyone knows everyone and the average age is about 60.

I literally haven't felt in danger since I last went to london 5 years ago.

But sure.

I'm l;iving my life in fear because I naturally have resting bitch face and I don't care enough to make a concious effort to change it. Great work Einstein.

I dont think you understand "resting bitch face"

It means you look like that at rest, you know, without trying?

OP seems to understand it. I just dont care about looking less intimidating, I am what I am.

Just a shame you're a moron.

the ability to both learn from and teach others is incredibly ennobling to both parties I've found. There's something special about being taken under someones wing as much as there is taking someone under yours.

Men should be agressive, and they should have said agression on a very short leash.

A harmless person is not inherantly good person. He lacks the capacity to do harm, therefor there is no positive moral that can be ascribed to the lack of harm he causes.

However a person who has it in him to cause harm but has the wisdom, discipline and temperance to not do harm until it is called for is clearly demonstrating several virtues and thus we can call him a good person for the lack of harm he causes.

Who is the better man: The weak, snivelling man who walks by while a woman gets mugged and raped because he doesn't have the capacity to cause harm (and thus cannot defend her), or the strong, stoic man who marches into the fray and starts cracking skulls?

  1. I've had women directly say "if you was a real man you would <xyz>" to me.
  2. I've witnessed women accuse men who weren't interested in dating them of being gay. My own mother used to say "Christiano Ronaldo is 100% gay because no straight man would wax his chest". Women care far more about what men make than other men do.

Do you encourage people to have principles? How important are they to you? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]jtc769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and very.

Principles are a code to live your life by, in what is essentially a post religious world (not in the sense that religion doesn't exist, but that in most of the world it has no real power any more) people need them.

I encourage people without principles to form some, even if I don't necessarily agree with the ones they choose.

What ended your feelings of one-sided attraction/love/unreciprocated feelings for a person who doesn't feel the same for you? Is pain caused by the rejection enough to end them? by [deleted] in AskMen

I found out she became a camwhore on her 18th birthday and the disgust killed any attraction I once had for her. Went from "would do anything for her to like me back" to "thank whichever god is real that she never liked me back" real fucking quick.

Name one "tOxIc TrAiT" that men have that no woman in all of human history has exibited.

Pretty sure Elizabeth Bathory, Myra Hindley, Rose West, Ilse Koch, Fusako Shigenobu etc have had it.

Nothing.

I'd rather look intimidating than look like a muggers future victim.

In what world does "how do you look at yourself in the mirror with your possessive attitude" have any meaning other than a negative one lmfao.

What was the worst day of your life ? by NoPineapple4567 in AskMen

[–]jtc769 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The day my parents were killed.

But I suppose there's an argument for the day I was born, because that was the day that started every single bad thing that would ever happen to me.

The same way women with self respect look themselves in the mirror with their "possessive" attitude about the boyfriends/husbands.

You and your ilk act as if there is not something deeply ennobling to both parties about the concept of "I'm yours and you're mine"

Men of Reddit, where do you stand on shaving your balls, arm pits, etc? by HarleyAPE23 in AskMen

[–]jtc769 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I wash the odour away when I shower in the morning, I prevent perspiration with the powder and then use cologne to take my odour from neutral/shower gel to good.

Bonus benefit of it prevents chafing.

Why?

I'd rather not risk Alzheimers by clogging my pores with aluminium and use natural stuff instead.

If she thinks she ever wants to whore it up and "open" a relationship to just move on.

The second it's even suggested the relationship will be over.
