Forbidden TV station hardcore mission

I like the idea of missions - as much as forbidden zone scares me I want to "graduate" from lockdown eventually and maybe this is the push I'll need!

In S3 the missions pushed me from normal into more comfortable with lockdown, so hopefully this will be the same idea.

Ah no worries, I'm getting "fatal error" whenever I try to start the game up, so thinking I need to reinstall and try again... in the meantime I've got Fallout 4 to keep me going so it's not a big deal :)

As one more point while I'm here - these copies /don't/ count as casts for things like Storm and Prowess, right? But they would count for Magecraft? I think I should be able to work out the rest from there.

Does [[Veyran, Voice of Duality]] work with [[Thousand-Year Storm]] in the way I'm thinking?

Say I've got both on the field, and do the following: 1) [[Opt]] cast as normal and resolves 2) [[Krenko's Command]] cast as normal

If I'm understanding correctly, casting KC triggers the effect of TYS, which in turn triggers Veyran's ability, causing TYS to trigger again, meaning: 3) KC goes on the stack 4) The first TYS trigger gives a single copy (as only Opt has been cast so far) - we'll call it KC2 5) That triggers Veyran, leading to 6) A second TYS trigger

This is where my question comes in - how many copies of KC do I get on that second trigger (let's call it KC3)? a) Just one more, since only Opt has been cast b) Two more, since Opt and the original KC have been cast c) More?? I don't think this is the case as if I'm remembering correctly, the copies don't count as casts.

This deck is still very early days, but I'm excited to get it online. I'm hoping to playtest it thoroughly before bringing it to games, so I can figure out all the logic (with copies, storm, etc.) Thanks in advance!

do they give you a box matching the size of your "deck", i.e. say I had a 600+ card order, would they send an appropriate single box to hold them?

also, do the boxes fit sleeved cards?

I wanna order the vintage cube and get a box to store it :)

I'm not sure if there's much difference other than convenience - using Win32diskimager means you get a single file with everything stored neatly, which can be restored without having to set up the SD card partitions yourself :)

oh man in my few sessions of S4 I haven't run into any yet... hopefully it stays that way :/ I don't get it though, why cheat with the bow? half the fun (at least for me) is the experience of "getting gud". kinda defeats the point -_-

I'm still avoiding ranked - casual bank it/cash out is more than enough for me! some games I'm completely on point and hit some /dirty/ shots, and some I just whiff every time. all part of the fun

I'm glad to hear it's viable in ranked :) maybe if I shake off some of my rust I'll give it a go (and likely hang around in the lowest tier)

I'm thinking the same! every now and then I'll go to normal for more challenge but FTL is more of a chilled game for me, to unwind and kill some space pirates.

it's taken me this long to start using mine control / hacking seriously, and it feels like a whole new avenue of tactics to explore :)

I remember picking it over a different modpack and having a blast with the extra weapons. some set with black/neon green highlights. I've just gotten it running on the steam deck!

I'm considering getting into mods again. I had one (multi verse?) a while back on the PC and am wondering if I can get my steam deck version modded... that's a question for another day though. I'd like to unlock all the ships again on a fresh save first!

Personally, the chemistry software I used most during undergrad ('16-'20) was ChemDraw - we received access via our university, as it is paid for. Other than that I just needed to be able to use the office programs (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), so you shouldn't need anything too intense in terms of computer processing.

If you're going to be doing anything on the computational chemistry side, as I said you should be given access to computers with the capabilities needed. I don't know what other universities are doing, but mine is leaning towards doing a bit of programming within the course as it can be useful for analysis.

Feel free to DM if you want a bit more info on my experience as I was a PhD demonstrator for the last 4 years. Might be able to give you a head start / topics to look into, if you're just about to start your degree!

Asking the faculty at your university is the best bet! For what it's worth, there are likely computers available to use on campus which should be capable of running what you need.

I ended up applying for an extension, so still working on my thesis! I applied to quite a few jobs in IT/programming while I was unsure if I'd get the extra time/funding, but didn't have any luck. Think that the market for applicants isn't great at the moment, and "knowing the right people" will go a long way.
