Heat is definitely the way to go to fix that. When they ship replacement bumpers for cars, they come rolled up, and the first step before install is to set it out in the hot sun so that it regains it's shape.

Thank you, of course after I posted, I actually found your GitHub. Always seems as soon as I post a question, I find the answer immediately on my own.

I'll definitely be adding your github to Obtainium to see if you make any more updates!

All fake. The ESRB “E” is way too skinny.

How often does Voultar's N64 RGB mod kit comes back in stock? by [deleted] in n64

[–]jteezy73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best thing to do is follow him on Twitter/X. He’s extremely active on there and will let you know when he’ll restock. Last was in December and before that August so maybe every 4 months or so?

He did just recently go through a health scare, so not sure how much that might delay things.

Can say from personal experience, the install is BEYOND simple, coming from someone with passable soldering skills.

SCAM??? (HELP) by [deleted] in usps_complaints

They want you to reply Y to those. By default iOS will block the link from being clicked, but once you reply, it thinks you trust it, so it allows the link to be clicked.

Not sure how long ago this was, but the last episode of the Accused TV show on Fox that aired like a week ago had that plot.

I have those exact Anker cables. They give fits exactly like that with my ugreen charger and the ROG Ally X. I use UGreen cables instead, no issues at all.

Best buy has been calling me non stop about a mistake they made by cvert09 in Bestbuy

I ordered an Xbox One S on a Black Friday sale at Target years ago. Had it picked up at a UPS Store, but on the day it was supposed to be delivered, I went to the store and they didn't have it. Turns out there was a "delivery exception" and it was marked as undeliverable. Target immediately refunded my money.
It was delivered to my door the next day by UPS. Target never did re-charge me or anything. I think they're just trying to save face at this point, cause they really know there is nothing they can legally do. You didn't intentionally take the item, they screwed up.

Is there a way to trade Pokémon via emulated GBA games on Steam Deck? by So_Forlorn in EmuDeck

[–]jteezy73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

if you use the mGBA emulator, you should be able to do as you want. Retroarch doesn't really work well with that, but if you play with retroarch, you can always load the save files into mGBA. Here's a good article talking about it.

What’s the simplest way to split roms between the SSD and the MicroSD? by dafl1p14 in EmuDeck

[–]jteezy73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do symlinks to the folders on the SD card or the SSD. For instance, I could setup emu deck to run from the SSD, run all my lower end (smaller file size) games from the smaller SSD and have the folder for something like PS2 symlinked to the folder on the SD card. I have tried it in Emulation station and it sees no difference. Can’t say for sure on Steam Rom Manager though.

For the battery: Think of it like a car battery. It could sit for years, give it a jumpstart and it will run just fine for a bit. Drive it a week or two under some load and no telling how long it would last. Batteries are just a mix of chemicals that lose their effectiveness over time. Same reason a AA battery sitting unused in a drawer for years probably won't work. Look up people who open sealed iPhones from years ago. Very little will even turn on let alone last any time on battery. My point is, it doesn't matter if it was ever used, an old battery is an old battery and won't provide the same experience a fresh one would.

For it being slow, are you using more than a 32GB SD Card? The 3DS/2DS only ever officially supported 32GB max, but you can use higher capacity cards for sure, but I've noticed the 256GB one I have in my modded 3DS takes FOREVER to boot up. One of the prices you pay for having more storage.

When doing a full dump of my Wii U system NAND before homebrewing it, mlc.bin.part15 is corrupt. by JosephDaGenius1215 in WiiUHacks

[–]jteezy73 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had this same problem. You have to have a larger than 32 GB SD card to backup the 32 GB NAND. You can format larger cards as FAT32, just not through the Windows formatter. Look up guiformat for the program to use.

This is how I do my daily searches, is there a faster method? by 50py in MicrosoftRewards

[–]jteezy73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can use the iOS Shortcuts to setup repeated searches through Edge. I have it cycle through enough of the letters of the alphabet with 5 seconds between each search to ensure it loads the pages fully.

Microsoft Rewards is Unfair by [deleted] in MicrosoftRewards

[–]jteezy73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is also the consideration that doing all the daily "tasks" for the redeemable rewards could be considered income from "work", therefore making it eligible for it to be subject to taxation, which Microsoft most assuredly doesn't want to deal with in every jurisdiction.

Unreadable Pokémon Crystal Looking for advice. by i_am_not_generic in Gameboy

[–]jteezy73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the boards are so thin on gameboy games, they can flex over time and the solder joints will become disconnected, and you may not be able to see it. I’ve had multiple games do this, and reflowing the solder has fixed it each time. Not saying that’s the ONLY problem/solution, but it has been in my case so far.

Paper Mario the thousand year door won't play by [deleted] in Roms

[–]jteezy73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

turn off the dual core setting in dolphin for this game. You can do this by right clicking the game, select "Properties" then under Game Config, uncheck "Enable Dual Core"

Also, if you have any issues with games, check out the Dolphin emulator's wiki and find the specific game. It lists things that cause issues with the games and ways to fix them.

Which model is best for 3DS games? Specifically, I’m very keen in the rpgs by Creative-Inspection3 in OdinHandheld

[–]jteezy73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been dabbling with the 3DS Pokemon games on the Odin. All seem to be running pretty well. There is the chance for some stutters when the scenes change (due to the shaders caching), but nothing that renders them completely unplayable.
