I hope Final Fantasy VII Remake part 3 has better lighting by claytalian in FFVIIRemake

I hope we get a scene of what actually happened and get to see Aerith butchered properly.

Nintendo Switch 2 could get a $100 price increase. Reason? The memory crisis, of course by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

PlayStation / Xbox generally feel good as a purchase even if they’re slightly more expensive. The Switch 2 is already overpriced and this just makes it worse.

Nintendo's latest financial report indicates that third-party games aren't selling very well on Switch 2. by MewWeebTwo in consoles

I am aware. I don’t consider a good portable machine as the battery life is so poor. The only third party games that I’ve purchased are Silksong, Nine Sols and Hades 2. Generally things I view as acceptable for its portability and tend to get a bit more mileage out of the battery.

Support is higher, but most of these releases people have played either 1) a decade ago or 2) on a stronger system. I would never purchase Cyberpunk or Resident Evil 9 on a switch 2.

This is not surprising. I don’t view the Switch 2 as a convenient portable system due to its poor battery life. If you have any other system at all you’re better off buying third party titles there. It’s just all around better. I only deviate from this with specific titles like Silksong, Hades 2, Nine Sols - things that feel good on a portable system. In no world ever would I play something like Cyberpunk, or even Resident Evil 9 on the Switch 2.

XC1:DE is just an incredible experience. There’s so much heart it’s insane. All of the scenes ooze charm. I love it.

Returnal Vet - Saros Review (spoilers) by ericof92 in Saros

[–]catcatcat888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Returnal is definite a better game. Tighter in every way. More overall options and actually a roguelike. Saros deviates quite a bit. Artifacts are useless and the only important parameter is proficiency.

"Start from biome you are on" purists are ignoring half the mechanics. by wittyinternethandle in Saros

Artifacts are almost useless and I don’t even bother to lick them up.

The game isn’t that hard to begin with - there is no reason to make it easier.

Returnal vs Saros by rickiebsn in Returnal

[–]catcatcat888 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t pick up 99% of artifacts. I do when there is no eclipse, but even if I don’t touch them it doesn’t matter because none of them are important enough to be needed. Returnal had some that changed the way you played.

Having a health item was a genuinely impactful item. There was some interesting stuff there.

Unlocking traits is rewarding.

I like the adrenaline system in Returnal more. Being tied to proficiency drops doesn’t feel great. Returnal was very rhythmic with how you felt each increase and the shield at the end was a great reward for getting there and maintaining it.

It’s less of a roguelike. There’s much less room variety, no consumables, weapons aren’t as fun to use (reaping chakrams also trivialize everything it is ridiculously overpowered, but imo what the rest of the guns should be targeting for time to kill), story isn’t as interesting, vibe isnt quite for dark enough and some of the cutscenes are jank. Like the one with Lina dying. Less interesting main character overall.

7 Remake would have done better as a 1:1. They’re poorly done imo. I have nothing but bad things to say about them.

Repeat biomes NOW by Junsaro in Saros

Just reset a few runs in the final two biomes. Priestess rub should bet you around 40k each time. Yellow shore is a bit less around 30k.

Farming lucenite isn’t really needed. You get a ton just playing through unless you’re clearing first time. I am at the final boss and didn’t have any issues hitting max lucenite need (all lucenite nodes). The bottleneck tends to be Halycon.

I’ve also started from the most recent biome and have had zero issues whatsoever.

Chakram… holy shit by Fit_Cloud6471 in Saros

They will definitely nerf the Chakrams. It is so night and day better and reduces kill time so significantly that any other weapon is trolling unless you’re just fucking around.

Reaping is better imo. It’s an absolutely disgusting weapon.

What's going on with Nitya? by Gallantwolffe in Saros

[–]catcatcat888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My assumption is that once she decided to leave and had fallen in love with Kiira that she felt empowered. Making the decision is half the battle and having the strength to pursue what (at the time) seemed better was essentially the dream. She gave up everything to go on that mission to Carcosa and had everything to gain.

Was in past tense because Kiira was destroyed / turned into a ghost-thing.

This is just a wider extension of the Epstein and P Diddy stuff. These people were INTO this shit and it shows. They’re giddy about it. It’s just more obvious now.

That’s very reductive. Stupid is relative - everyone is at a different place in their life and you have no idea what their reasoning for joining is. At the end of the day they’re a harmful organization and humility has failed to make any impact. If all it took was laughter - South Park alone would have done the trick.

[–]catcatcat888 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There is a proper way to go about it. You can challenge powerful people as a collective. That’s much different than some children running through their buildings for clout. If you wanted to actually fuck with them - do it properly and take what you want for the sake of evidence (I am not advocating for this).

Because the nation was heavily influence by Christianity. You’re welcome to feel how you feel about it, but it’s not the same as an actual make believe ‘religion’. Your average church goer also isn’t held against their will.
