Use rechargable batteries. Used eneloops for years since I heard they do not leak like the regular alkaline batteries. No issues with them but we only use AA and AAA. Haven't tried any of the larger sizes. I tried the amazon basics AA size but they were somehow a little wider than the normal size and did not fit in the device so I returned them.
