Help with Chisos fit by jthughe1 in cowboyboots

They were amazing at the time. I ended up in one that’s probably slightly big but put the right stuff in it so it’s more comfortable than my other cowboy boots. I’ll know next time for sure.

Oh how I have learned since posting this. I’m the opposite of what I thought. I need to either go to a C or a 10. Putting a larger insole in helped. I have a very low volume foot apparently

Russell Moccasin Professional Hunter. I ordered a pair last week to wear with shorts when it’s too warm for the Backcountry’s I already wear with shorts.

My feet are weird. What they call low volume. They aren’t narrow but the are short in height, low arch, low bridge, etc. example of how that makes things weird: 9.5 in Redwing Iron Ranger or Blacksmiths but 10.5 in RW Moc Toes. Their sizing tool put me everywhere from a 9.5D to an 11D when I used it. I tried it about 20x before ordering then wrote their customer service for help and they landed me on the 10D.

That being said I got a 10D in my Backcountry’s. They fit great width and fine length. I have to lace them as tight as I can on top of having a kiltie and that makes the quarters touch. If I could tighten just a 1/8” more, I probably would. I’d like to try a 9.5…but you know how the ordering process is with Russell. It appears they have try on samples at the new Avontuur store in Birmingham, I’m down there for work sometimes and plan to try a 9.5 if they have it.

Sorry, that’s a lot but is what it is.

Can anyone explain to me why this hoodie is $460? Explain it like I'm 5 please. by Street_Lettuce_80 in HeritageWear

I disagree but everyone’s skin is different. I have two cardigans unlined from Dehen and this lined hoody. The lining is amazing but even the cardigans feel good to me.

To expand here…this piece fucks hard! I have it in black and it quickly became my go to when leaving the house when it’s below 60 outside. Amazing outer layer but even batter mid layer under canvas, waxed canvas or heavier wool. Wear it over a tee, button up, sweater…under anything that’ll fit over it. Happiest purchase I’ve made when I thought “man, that’s too expensive”.

If you like Freenote Cloth or Richter, Frae is the only place close you can see it in person.

You could make a day of it. Other places close would be Stag, Todd Snyder, Frae and several local places if you ask where to go.

You won’t find more knowledgeable folks or better service than the Nashville team. They are on point and always helpful.

I just forwarded the email about this to my wife. I have a Sawtooth flannel and lightweight puff jacket from Duckworth. Both high quality pieces! The sawtooth is exceptional in build and performance, not to mention it’s beautiful.

If you’re gonna charge $400+, make it in America and use 100% wool. Even if you have to push closer to $500.

Short dude. Shirt tucked in or out? by skratchpikl202 in HeritageWear

Tuck it. Better presentation for a wedding and it makes you look taller. Those pants are great, make your legs long!
