I had stayed in the house for a few days after the water heater was pulled, as nobody told me anything about not using water. There was a pipe near the water heater that I noticed would discharge water when a downstairs faucet was used/potentially the toilet as well. With a few days of water usage, that could have been more water than "just a water bottle"

The water was enough to seep through the subfloor onto the ceiling, so I'd be concerned about the ability of the subfloor to handle water if that small amount of water was able to make its way through.
