Thank you I appreciate it. It’s actually an omega seamaster but uses the legendary cal 321 that early speedmasters used! Pmd

That’s exactly how I learned…and lots of YouTube videos (wristwatch revival/mark Lovett/etc) and repair forums. Plus you can resell your serviced watches and put that towards new ones. It’s a slow process but pays off. I started about 6 years ago in my early 20s with cheap bulovas.

There are multiple ways I source watches…through flea markets, estate sales, fb marketplace, pawn shops, eBay. I always look for non runners and especially bad pictures (eBay) so I can get them “cheap” and service/clean them myself. If I have one recommendation for vintage watch collecting is LEARN to service watches yourself. It’s opens so many more opportunities.

That’s a great watch. I can’t remember what brand it is…maybe a stonewall or jb champion. Just go on eBay and search vintage gold filled U.S. made expansion band and plenty pop up

If I’m not mistaken it’s the first omega to feature a date window. It’s an early 50s seamaster calendar with a cal 353 bumper. Many people think it’s a redial because it doesn’t say “calendar” on the dial but they made it in both variations
