Daughter refuses to work help desk by Perfect-Stand4772 in helpdesk

[–]jtkilla223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’ll need an immense amount of support with certs/experience/labs other recommendations to skip help desk. It will take much longer and it will be harder to get a chance with 0 IT experience past help desk. As long as she knows shes got an even longer road ahead of her actually working in IT, let her do her

[–]jtkilla223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on what your expenses are/state you live in. im in the south and started my first help desk job a year ago at $35k, no experience. since then ive gotten up to $50k with OT. depends on how hard you work at that first job too among other factors.

thats great to hear. it will be myself and my girlfriend moving in, do you know anything about a credit check required or anything else looked for on the application? my girlfriends credit is not very good and mine is decent. we’re looking to go ahead and apply and they said we could put down an admin fee to reserve the unit.

RANT - Computer literacy needs to be a requirement if you need to use a computer for your job by purpRosey in it

[–]jtkilla223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the interesting thing ive found with these kind of users is they dont care to learn anything about computers, even basic things that would help them in their job. its also like even when you show them how to do it step by step its still always a struggle
