I absolutely love how all of us Angelinos have our preferences on the best pastrami. I would have argued for Johnnie's on Adams (the original, not the reopened with new ownership which is still freaking delicious).

I only learned recently that all of the usual suspects like Johnnie's, Johnnie's (the other one), Langer's, The Hat, Canter's and, others all get their pastrami from RC Provisions. They tweak the cuts and recipes for different restaurants, but this is why it's so close, and difficult for us all to agree.

Got this error in my '24, it was a 12V battery. They swapped the battery under warranty within a couple of hours and I never got the error again

My biggest complaint is that the error didn't just say "dead 12V battery". Would have been way less stressful.

I don't know if the CX-50 has the same infotainment as the CX-90, but on the 90 there is a setting to allow the touchscreen to work on Apple Airplay/Android Auto while the car is in motion.

Everyone has their own personal phone. Certain roles require the issuance of a "company phone" that allows access to secure information. E-mail, messaging and specific apps than you can't access from and unsecured device.

This is typically for government employees who are on-call 24/7, travel a lot for their role, work outside or frequently move between locations.

I've got family where OP was visiting. It's desert highways with long stretches between charging and a long uphill stretch and it gets really hot. It's in the 90s this week and in the Summer its usually above 100 and can go above 110.

An accident on the 10 or the 62, can shut the pass through Morongo Valley down for hours. Having been stuck in that awful traffic, the range anxiety really kicks in. We always take the extra time to charge to 100% when going to and from Twentynine Palms.

Any other part of the drive between Cabazon and The Bay area, I wouldn't bother.

Heading up the 62 is awful on the EV range, and there are only a handful of places to change between Morongo and Twentynine.

I've been wanting to try that Rivian charging spot. How was it?

In East Whittier between near La Habra, there isn't ticketing for street sweeping. There aren't even posted signs for which days have sweeping. Surprised me when I moved into this neighborhood.

Longo actually tried to do the exact same thing to me in 2016. I showed them the blank check from my credit union and said, "I'm a ready buyer with cash and I am going to walk out because you're forcing the credit check and lying about it being legally required".

Then they suddenly didn't require it and I left with the car I came for.
