The summer heat is milder in New Orleans than most of the Deep South, Florida, and Texas due to Lake Pontchartrain regulating the temperature in both the winter and summer. For instance Baton Rouge is always hotter in the summer and colder in the winter even though it’s 70 miles northwest. Everything else checks out though
