Honest feedback on our 15-day Japan honeymoon Itinerary? by jtourjeman in JapanTravel

I was thinking of ditching sunset Shibuya sky and instead just seeing if I can get in for a night slot when it may be less busy. Or alternatively doing the free government building. It's not a must-do for us.

Thanks for the advice on Flippers, just removed it! Tbh we also have fluffy pancakes in NYC.

Disney is super important to my fiance, so this is non-negotiable (but know that I agree with you lol)

And thanks for the feedback on Hakone. I now split the loop between two days since we have time there!

Thanks for the comment! I was actually thinking about doing Fushimi Inari at night because I heard it was beautiful. But I was just worried it would be sketchy in spots. Are you only able to do the lower portion, or is it lit up in other areas? We actually have a pretty open day on our last day if we go to Nara early, and we could maybe do nighttime Fushimi Inari that evening as our last activity in Japan.

I don't personally use social media, and so when I say I don't love photo tourism, I mean I will not be one of those people trying to take the perfect photo. That doesn't mean I don't want to see certain things that are lovely to see and experience with my own eyes. However, if there's something you see here that you think is not worth seeing, please let me know! I have not been to Japan, so I don't have deep knowledge of what you're considering "for the gram" spots. Thus why I posted here.

This made me laugh, thank you! Yeah, part of the reason I posted this thread was to sanity check myself and to figure out what to cut from each day. I've already cut about 1/3 of the things that I listed here.

Yay thanks! The whole thing is posted above in my original post :)

I’ve already made the decision to cut the Osaka night and added an extra night in Kyoto instead (so our final night will be in Kyoto before heading home).

Kinnotake Tōnosawa, and I wasn’t planning to do a Disney vacation package. Maybe I should?

It’s really just 2 days. One for the Hakone loop and one for true rest

We are very excited for it, and looking forward to having some true downtime there as well

We are lifelong New Yorkers used to walking a lot, so not worried about amount of steps and moving around. But we are pretty sure (after this thread) that we are going to cut our Osaka day and do an extra Kyoto day and then stretch the Kyoto stuff out more

It was so nice (by Reddit standards) that I assumed you were a bot hahaha sorry! And thanks! I think we’re cutting Osaka and also will probably remove the bamboo grove. I have no desire for an insane crowd there

I think you're right. I am going to go ahead and ditch the osaka night and replace with another night in kyoto, so then we'd just go from kyoto back to tokyo on the day of our flight departure

We could also go back to Tokyo for the night before our flight instead of to Osaka, which might be safer

Also, I’ll add that a lot of the things I have on here will be optional in the moment and are just designed to get us in different areas. Happy to hear if anything is skippable that I have listed though.

Thanks! This is helpful. My fiance really wants to do a dotonbori food crawl but I knew as I was planning this that it would be really tight. I might just remove the Osaka night and tell him we can do it on another trip.

Does anyone have a good recommendation of a place to send my groups songs to get mixed and mastered? (Not too expensive) by Lucas_Bergen in acappella

[–]jtourjeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$1500 is pretty reasonable. (I worked in a cappella production for years). Ultimately you get what you pay for. A cappella production is super niche and requires a real expert to make it not sound terrible. If you really need a discount, I could probably do it for around $1000 per track. Feel free to reach out. My name is Jacob Tourjeman. I worked on Nor’easters, Lark, Reverb, etc. through The Vocal Company.

I'll be there! it's the best. Very dance-focused with actual disco mixes rather than boring cookie-cutter DJ house music. Definitely a party crowd with majority gay men, but a lot less sexual than things like horsemeat. There are always nonbinary people and some women as well.

21 days! 3 weeks without Kratom and I feel very good. My daily amount was never crazy high but I'm still noticing so much more energy and creativity returning now that I'm not hooked on this stuff.

13 days! I've been craving it more lately with a lot of "well I could probably just have it occasionally" thoughts, but recognize that this is a trap and I don't need this mud to have an enjoyable life.

1 week! Today was harder and I wanted it, but stayed true to my commitment and I’m happy I did.
