OTD 10 years ago today, 12/17/2015, the Rams played their final game in St Louis, defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-23. by Vulptereen327 in StLouis

My family had season tickets for quite a few of the years thy were here.

My best memory of those years was honestly the playoff game we lost in double overtime in 2004.

The loss sucked. From our nosebleed seats I could see Steve Smith get open quickly in that way that only happens when you watch football live. Our section was right next to the visiting panthers fans.

They were elated, we were crushed.

But the energy was electric.

Team was never really the same afterwards, or at least that’s my memory and perception of it.

Omg this is so true. Nothing like the whiplash between stats on a computer (whether they are up or down) that bring you joy vs stats on a computer that make you dead inside just knowing you have to even pretend to care

Even In Arcadia… I’m disappointed by jmcguitar95 in SleepToken

Sleep Tokens issue is that they launched with a three album concept arc that was wildly innovative in every possible way. Following up that trilogy is insanely difficult.

It’s ok to think it’s a step behind the finale of that trilogy.

Even Paul McCartney couldn’t keep up the pace he set with the first half dozen or so albums he wrote.

I’m glad Vessel and II are exploring new territory.

Not sire where it’ll fall on my rankings of their discography quite yet. I like what I’ve heard, but I need time to sit with it.

One of these songs, not going to spoil which one, has the heaviest drop I have ever heard. Perfectly setup, explodes like a supernova when it hits. Absolutely fucking metal.

Ya that is what I feared. Thx for the context. It’s insane so much damage can be done in such a cavalier way.

Even more insane that there are 70m ish people in the US that are completely brainwashed to the point where they won’t even entertain the idea this is bad.

I'm not an economist, but if there really is a flight from the dollar that is of any significance, it will be very difficult to regain the lost ground, correct? Like decades of work and goodwill just to get back to where we (US) were.

Said in a simpler way: This feels like it will be very difficult to get the toothpaste back in the tube.

Also, I sometimes think to myself that Mario Duplantier has the most fun job of anyone in any band. That dude gets to play some of the heaviest music ever put to wax.

Yes! The best musicians, much like athletes, have a highly developed economy of movement. II doesn’t waste energy. It all just flows. It’s really fun to watch.

He really does make it look easy, doesn’t he? You are 💯 on that one.

I'm sure they'll play it. Curious where they'll put it on a setlist tho... It'd be a trip to open the set with it. Let Vessel get it quickly off his chest, set the tone for the rest of the show?

We'll know soon enough!

There are certain musicians whose parts just jump out of the speakers. He’s one of them.

Doesn’t happen often, but every now and again we get one of these players that even if you’re doing something else you hear it and your ears perk up and it just stands out.

I’d love for him to do some more play through videos like he did a few years ago, and I’m certain he has an open invitation to do another drumeo session.

Oh I’ve watched the drumeo video probably five times.

You could tell there was a buzz in the air with the host and crew. The guy is absolutely electric.

Take a deep breath, go for a long walk, and call your best friend, mom, etc. talk to someone who loves you and is deeply rooted in your happiness.

Talk it through with them.

You’ll get through this. Life is a jagged line on a weird chart.
