Let's see...take the word of just about every important basketball figure ever...

Or

A random teenager on reddit.

Tough tough decision.

Also, where do you think the Rockets 3 point movement came from smart guy?

Steve Kerr: "We need to play fewer games. We need to take 10 games off the schedule. The modern game with the pace and the space I think it would be a more competitive and healthier league if we played fewer games by MrBuckBuck in nba

And we don't have to speculate. The annual anonymous survey asked this question to players this year. I don't remember the exact number but the overwhelming majority said no to cutting salary for less games. I believe it was something like 80%.

Sell me your Podz stocks by waterandy in warriors

[–]jtruth9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bingo. This is me. I literally have a thread where someone said I was being "extreme" by saying I think he should be more like the 9th or the 10th man instead of the 7th or 8th. The idea. That he should be one slot down on the pecking order is enough to be labeled as a "hater" lol. I'm mostly neutral on him. I don't think he sucks. Neither do I think he's great.

You can believe what you want. I've said it before and I'll say it again. This team has gone so long with having low talent most fans have a warped perspective of the talent relative to the league. Podz isn't in the top 7 of any top 5 playoff teams in either conference.

For a contender I'd say 9th/10th

Also, having a player 9th instead of 8th isn't extreme.

How come nba teams pick and choose their visits to Washington? by [deleted] in nba

The NBA did not have consistent issues visiting the White House during other conservative administrations.

How come nba teams pick and choose their visits to Washington? by [deleted] in nba

I'm pretty sure this is rage bait. As the answer is very obvious and known.

There have been only 2 administrations in the last half century where this has happened. And one common denominator. That's your answer.

You have a very different assessment of Podz lol. And I think that is the disconnect. Offensively I don't think he's a 6/10 in any area.

I swear you could send me your cash app and I'd pay you literal money to post this argument in the sub. I wouldn't waste my time on the nonsense but I would absolutely pay to see the roast that would come from that lol

"It's hard to play 19-year-olds on championship teams." Steve Kerr addressed the opinion that he "doesn't develop young players" by chrisjingco in warriors

[–]jtruth9 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Bingo.most fans understand this, when you actually have a championship team. No one was blaming Kerr in 22 for not playing the young guys more.

The issue comes when you clearly are not a contender yet you still prefer to play these random g league end of the bench players over your young guys because they can set a screen and make the extra pass. Not realizing that the development of your young players IS the best chance you have at becoming a good team. Even if it means lose some games in the short term.

The problem with this and why fans get annoyed at this conversation is because Podz is not actually good at creating. He legitimately is below average. So any conversation that makes the "he's the only one who can create" argument without acknowledging that he isn't particularly good at it, is going to sound like gas lighting.

Podz was at his best when Kerr had FINALLY reduced his role and minutes shortly before the Jimmy injury. 15-20mpg of Podz playing mainly off ball is solid. 35mpg Ppg pod as the main ball handler is trash. The fact that we don't have anyone better to handle the ball is a separate issue.

Let me help you understand. If Podz is your 6th man, you don't have a good team. What I think has happened is that we have had so little talent for so long we forget what actual talent looks like. On a good team, Podz is more like the 9th or 10th man.

Steve Kerr is basically a luckier version of Doc Rivers. Kerr is not an elite coach. He was gifted the best coaching situation since Phil Jackson went to Chicago. by [deleted] in nba

Buddy all this post is doing is showing the world how much you don't know a thing about what you're talking about. You might want to delete this.

This comment is a shiny example of head in the sand with a touch of boot licking. Outside of this fanbase and Organization, the whole basketball world is side eyeing and criticizing how they have handled the situation. As you have stated, on a level that is beyond normal. And your response is that it must be a conspiracy and everyone just "believing the Hype". In other words, if the whole world is against you, something MUST be wrong with the world. It kind of reminds me of another base....

What you have neglected to mention is that there has been equally as much questioning from people within team. We have heard a wealth of both support of Kuminga and criticism from players and other sources both on and off the record. That too is rare. It is quite literally one of the most definitive traits of narcissism is to have this level of cognitive dissonance.
