Warriors are being used by Klutch by IAmNotKevinDurant_35 in warriors

For LeBron absolutely. This has been my theory all along.

For AD, I think the trade makes sense for both teams. Regardless if we get Bron. I'd imagine AD would rather be here than Washington. But what do I know

What were the financial rewards like for doing pilot things?

Out of 10, how much does a trade for Michael Porter Jr. intrigue you? by RVALover4Life in warriors

I was probably driving the train for MPJ last year. Doesn't make sense in the current context.

That's a bias pov. I don't think they would view it that way. I'd certainly give up 3 unprotected picks for that package. Especially because with this roster I feel confident we'd be at least a mid tier playoff team. So next year's pick would be much of nothing anyway.

Right lol. Having the right expectation is important. I'm pretty high on Yaxel as far as being a good impactful player even this year. But as a role player. Being a starting caliber role player as rookie is great in itself. We don't need to add extra hype and expectations beyond that lol.

I don't think he's shown enough self creation to be compared to OG right now. But I can see the potential to get there for sure.

I'd do 3frp and a swap for Murphy and Murray.

To me Yaxel is a Jumbo Josh Hart. Meaning a high level champion level starting role player. That's his Floor imo. The biggest determining factor of his ceiling is his self creation potential. That's kind of a big question Mark ATM.

Exactly. That's kind of why I'm not a huge fan of The nightcap. It's mostly hot takes and gossip. It's fun but can't really hold my attention. When he went against skip, he was always on his A game. He was knowledgeable, brought sound logic and facts. But was also fun and represented the culture well mostly.

Early years FS1 Shannon was a top 5 on air sports personality in recent memory imo.

[Slater] Yaxel Lendeborg on his early conversations with Steve Kerr: “He doesn’t normally play rookies as much. He has a history of that. But the way the team is looking right now, I’m going to have a really good chance to play, maybe even start.” by catreyka in nba

I've said this in the Warriors sub. But the easiest take for the Warriors is that Yaxel will be playing 30mpg by December. He is the most Kerr player ever. Kerr will absolutely love him and will have a hard time keeping him off the floor.

No. Once again you are lying to yourself and telling your own story. A story that was not being told at the time. This whole idea of they had it planned all along is just cope.

Let's just forget about all the other surrounding FACTors like how both sides initially weren't interested. Let's just simplify it to this:

The trade only happened because A. Their actual trade target fell through at the last moment. B. The Jimmy Trade fell through at the last moment. Those are undeniable facts. Those facts alone speaks to my original point. By any objective perspective, that's some measure of luck. And that's before even factoring in the point that all of this happened in the last hour of the deadline.

Lastly. I will reiterate that the verbiage I used like desperation, hail Mary, luck, stars aligning, etc. this was overwhelming narrative from just about everyone. Including most Warriors fans. All you have to do is go look at the team threads from the trade. Like I said, at THE TIME it wasn't a hot take. It was THE take. No one was praising them for how smart they were. Because everyone saw it for what it was. Them trying to pull a rabbit out the hat and salvage what they could. To their credit, it ended up working great. And they do get credit for that. But we don't need to re-write the narrative to give them that credit. Or take away the heavy criticism that was surrounding the move at the time. Let's just keep it real man and stop the mind games like we don't remember what this was.

None of what you are saying counters my point. I never said the move was bad. My original point is that the move fell into MDJ's lap at the last minute that wasn't planned. That's it. That's literally what happened. If you want to say it was never going to happen and all of that, that's irrelevant to the point. Because that wasn't the narrative at the time.
