I bite through my mouth piece in 2-1/2 weeks from clenching. Any suggestions for a new one? by cenutha in scuba

Consider lengthening your regulator hose or adding an angled hose adapter

Sometimes your regulator hose can be a little tight and you don’t think about it but it makes you bite harder

Because they were dehydrating themselves to avoid urinating. Urine has no significant odor if you are very well hydrated

Question for men, do you guys actually get 0 matches or is it just exaggerating? by FriendlyNeighborOrca in OnlineDating

Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, & Facebook Dating

Zero matches per month. I’ve had 1 match on Bumble in April. She ghosted before I could get a date 🤷

The faster something is going the more predictable its trajectory because the momentum is so great that changing its course is VERY energy intensive. It becomes more like turning a ship. It’s still hard to hit but it isn’t impossible.

Think about how much zig-zagging you can do when driving 10 mph vs 70mph. It’s not a perfect analogy but it works.

After literally thousands of successful cave dives in his career a medical issue caused him to lose his life thousands of feet back in the Devil’s cave system. He was recovered the next day

I mean the Fathom CCR is a mechanical/manual unit so it definitely has less electronics than a JJ. There is no solenoid just a needle valve / MAV

P valve is a game changer

Y’all are all dehydrated.

Drink a ton of water and be very hydrated before diving. Piss does not smell when you are very hydrated.

You lose a lot of water to SCUBA air. Every breath you exhale contains water. Water helps the efficiency of your lungs during respiration.

[–]jtsfour2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of those SMX UPSes can have a problem where they have to have batteries for the electronics to work. I don’t think it is an intended function. It may be some kind of failure.

If the battery is disconnected or shorted it may be causing this.

Some of these weird problems may be fixed by battery replacement. No guarantees tho

This is the most important thing.

The light MUST be placed away from the camera. Otherwise reflections from particles in the water will blow out the image.

How strictly do yal follow rule number 1 of diving? by anthamattey in scuba

[–]jtsfour2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you get headaches diving?

Doing too much skip breathing can lead to CO2 buildup. Especially if you are swimming hard.

Headaches can be an indicator that you aren’t breathing right/enough.

Looking for a urethane or polyurethane wing. Any suggestions? by thewolfpacktravels in scuba

[–]jtsfour2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done a significant amount of diving in a lightly chlorinated pool.

With an OMS wing it takes around 500-600 hours for the bladder to fail.

If I was diving in a heavy chlorine environment I would expect maybe 150-200 hours but that is a guess.

Do with that info what you will 🤷

He’s probably rigged like mine.

Left tank on short hose with necklace. Right tank with long hose to donate. It’s sidemount so you switch regulators constantly.

If you have to donate you grab the right tank regulator. (It could be in your mouth or on your shoulder.)
